My family stayed there last month for four days and it was wonderful. Although it rained we still had a great time because the bungalows were so nice. They gave us a free upgrade to two beachside bungalows. Food was average although many places nearby for meals, they even give free bikes to use! Staff was great.

We have spent 4 days at this lovely hotel. The rooms are well equipped, spotless and well maintained. Unlike some of the other reviewers we found the staff smiling and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble and when our flight was delayed they gave us a late checkout. The room blocks are set in lovely gardens with a beautiful pool, and on the beach. We were very happy to see life guards at the pool as we saw a child in difficulties rescued immediately. Well done, it could so easily been a tragedy.
The buffet breakfasts are good ( crispy bacon at last), the only minor complaint was the coffee, very average!
We could easily walk into the markets., For a change if you get too much seafood , try the Italian/ German restaurant on the opposite side of the road and about 200metres further out of town, fantastic pizzas and snitzels.
The hotel was very popular with Vietnamese and Russians.
The weather was terrible, best not to come at this time of year.

This is supposed to be one of the best hotels on the island but unfortunately it is let down by the attitude of most of the staff which is unfriendly and unhappy. The one exception to that was the restaurant manager who was very helpful and smiling the evening we ate there. The hotel has a lot of facilities including a spa that has a sauna and steam room but you have to pay for these on top of your room charge which I didn't like. They also close the spa very early so you are out of luck if you want to relax in the spa in the evening. The room was a very good standard and the hotel was clean and well maintained. The food was good but not remarkable. Overall I do not feel you get the special treatment that you would expect when staying at this level of hotel and so I can't recommend it.

We stayed here for our first two nights on Phu Quoc island. The hotel is within walking distance to the night market and town, which is a plus for those not daring to rent motorbikes. Unfortunately we got a room next to the tennis court and close to the road, so quite noisy and from 7 am. when the tennis court opened, there's no sleeping in late. The room was quite old and of averange to poor standard. Service was ok, but nothing exceptional. Breakfast was what you'd expect from a 3 star hotel. The hotel is listed as a 3 star hotel some places and as a 4 star other places. I must admit my opinion is that this is a 3 star hotel. We moved to Le Veranda which supposedly is a 4 star hotel, in my opinion deserving 5, and who runs circles around this hotel in absolutely every aspect.

My family and I stayed at Saigon Phu Quoc for two nights. We booked a Starcruise two bedroom for the stay and was given a nice garden facing bungalow. The rooms were smaller than expected with no bath tub. The bed is made up of two single beds put together and the quilt/blanket was not comfortable. Furniture seems old and needs upgrading. Other than that, service was good. The food (both the breakfast buffet and food at the resort restaurant) was great.

Our family went "home" (Saigon, Viet-Nam) few years ago (Dec 2007; I could not choose the correct year in the web of Trip Advisor). We booked the local tour
and flew to Phu Quoc island from Tan Son Nhat Int'l airport (Saigon). We stayed this hotel.
My room was close to the beach; Good food (both Western and Vietnamese food)
and fresh fruits. There is a small bar near to the swimming pool (piscine). The staff served nicely.
We enjoyed the quiet atmosphere, clean air here, away from busy, hustling of Saigon or other big or small cities.

Room Tip: Some rooms closer to beach

Nice resort with nice gardens, tennis courts and the beach is wonderful. Good views from the restaurant and breakfast rooms. An ideal place for families as there are opportunities to have connected rooms/cottages. The food was ok but not fantastic and the service was not very good so needs improvement.
