Paradise

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 24 Mar 2014via mobile
We stayed here for 8 nights and it really was Paradise.
The resort is off the beaten track and hidden away from the rest of the world.
Phu Quoc, I'm afraid, is not anything to write home about, but Mango Bay is Heaven.
We stated in a Plantation Bungalow and it was perfect.
The beach was beautiful, and the Hammocks by the sea were our idea of heaven, the restaurant and beach bar served lovely food, although we would have liked to have seen more Authentic Vietnamese food on the Menu.
The breakfast was perfect.
All in all I'd encourage anyone to stay at Mango Bay.

We stayed in this hotel in March and it was the most spectacular location and resort. The location is set on a quiet beach away from the main tourist points on Phu Quoc. The beach has lots of activities to and plenty of sunbeds to relax on. The water is clean and clear. We ate lunch at the beach bar which was tasty and made with fresh ingredients. We had breakfast and dinner at the main restaurant and it was very nice. A couple of times with breakfast the staff did not get our orders right but they quickly corrected this without fuss. The bungalows are another highlight. It feels like you are miles away from civilisation and the outdoor bathrooms make for an interesting change from the norm. We If you are looking to relax and forget about the world I do think there is a better place. Simply the most relaxing place I have ever been. Many thanks
Josh and Marie

Amazing experience, recently spend a few nights here, the location, the staff, our room, the food, so so so good. If I had any criticisms, and really this is more of a suggestion than a criticism, it's that the dinner menu could have more Vietnamese food on it, done really well.

The gentle lapping of the waves, the light breeze, the looooooong sunset over the Gulf of Thailand, the unobtrusive but always-there staff, sashaying around in their pink tops, the sudden appearance of mosquito nets and incense when you return to your room after dinner, all perfect.

Room tip: We stayed in the cheapest room, one of five in a little block, and it was beautiful, so I'd imagine every room at Mango Bay is pretty good

It was my first time to visit Phu Quoc and was pleasantly surprised by this resort. I had expected it to be nice considering the steep price we paid (200USD) but the hotel exceeded my expectations. The rooms were new and the bathrooms clean, restaurant had a good menu with a good variety, and best if all - beach was clean and not crowded! This hotel reminded me of Nikoi Island in Bintan - similar concept but cheaper :) I would recommend this to anyone visiting Phu Quoc. Btw,seafood barbecue dinner is good and cheap - won't be disappointed

I have spent 2 nights there and enjoyed every moment spent in the hotel, the restaurants (there are 2 different restaurants) the bar and the spa.
We booked the bungalow with garden view and we loved the place, the intimacy and the food.
We also enjoyed the open air bathroom and shower (although privacy is still protected).
You have tens of activities from kayak to volleyball, snorkeling and diving excursions, cooking classes or open air movies.
It is a little expensive compared to vietnam cost of hotels, but it was worth every penny of it!

We went there for 4 days and actually we found exactly what we were expecting.
The staff is awesome and always want to help you to feel comfortable.
The bungalows are very nice and we loved the Eco-friendly concept.
If I have one suggestion maybe you should prepare some route for those who want to go out cycling or walking around.
