These guys had to have given themselves 4 stars because no one else would unless paid off. Let's start with positives. The location is good. About 10 minutes walking from the market area which is great. Get all the access to fresh seafood whenever. The beach itself was nice as well. Unfortunately that's all the positives.

First off we booked 4 villa suites for the ocean view. When we arrived they said they only had one available and that we would have to stay in the chalets instead. No big deal except they still wanted to charge us the villa price. Are you kidding me? Next we tried to do some laundry and the form specifically said get clothes in by 10 am then you get them back by 6 pm that day. It took them 2 days and by then we were checking out and constantly calling for our clothes. They came 10 minutes before we had to meet the bus driver and leave and the clothes were still a little damp. They had probably just started washing them that morning.

The morning breakfast at Neptune was ordinary at best with limited choices. The food wasn't very good. We did do the massage at the resort and that was excellent. The rooms weren't very clean and the shower doors were wouldn't close shut so water leaked. Checkout was also a complete hassle as they miscalculated laundry charges and also claimed there was a mini bar charge. Terrible communication in the front desk. Phu Quoc is fun but stay away from this place. There are probably better choices out there.

Reception lack of communication, pool dirty, standard room, not worth the money i paid. Upon check in after 3 weeks travelling Vietnam we wanted a nice relaxing resort where we could swim and relax near pool. We were here 5 nights and not once was the pool clean, very uninviting. Not one guest swam in this pool.

Plus (to me):
+ beautiful resort, garden, beach and pool.
+ 10 mins walk to the night market.
+ cabins are all close to the beach.
+ new executive cabins looked amazing (however building was in progress at the time of visit mid April 2014).

Minus (to me):
- the resort caters primarily to local clientele, which meant continental breakfast options were average (2 choices of fruit and often non-conventional fruits, only white sugary breads)
- even though we booked through the website trying to cut out middle men, reception staff gave us the worst room of the resort and they were very reluctant to give us a better room (one that we actually booked). note that the occupation of the resort was very low, read: almost empty.
- although close to the night market, we got the sense that the more lively restaurants were further down the beach, surrounding the veranda resort.

Room Tip: make sure you get the room class as booked (we were 'upgraded' to a lesser room); make sure...

We had a beach side bungalow which was ten metres to the shore (awesome). I'm currently listening to the sound of the ocean as I write this review. However some of the other resort facilities that were promised did not live up to expectations. The restaurant food is awful as is the breakfast (except for the omelette man). We ate there on our first night and they mixed the order up. The site is currently undergoing construction so be warned. The swim up pool bar is only for show. It is not stocked and never staffed. The cleaning staff are very good. We won't stay here again as we felt it was over priced for what it was ( especially when the same room the advertised $30 less the week before). The beach is really nice though.

The check in process was very poor at best, the first lady to help us was lacking communication skills and seemed like she could care less to help us. They could not find our reservation at first and then it took 3 tries to get our room correct. We had reserved a beach front and they tried to pawn off some of the cheaper rooms first. When we finally got our room it was nice and clean. For the beds they just push two twins together to form a king, but we kept them separate, its nice to get freaky in one bed then sleep in separate beds for a good sleep. The breakfast buffet was weak, save your money and head into town or Alanis' coffee shop. The pool was nice. Beach was great, although some garbage washed up the last two days.

We stayed here for 4 nights in early February, and we struggled with finding availability. We picked resort last minute, and it turned out to be nice. The location is walking distance to restaurants and the night market (not so great). I found the best food on the beach was at the other end of Long beach, so take the long walk to find out for yourself (around 20 min). There are many larger hotels beside this one, so things were a little more expensive on this end.

The pool had too much chlorine, but was nice with a swim up bar. Also, because of the more forested property, mosquito's and gecko's were a little annoying.

Overall the rooms were clean and spacious. Their king beds were just two singles pushed together, so you need to avoid the crack through out the night... but this no different than other hotel here. Good shower with consistent heat, and nice patios on our Garden View Bungalow.

I found this hotel better value than its neighbors in the area.

Room Tip: take a bungalow here, no point coming all this way and not being close to the beach... and they are...

Nice and quiet beach area, nice, big apartments, excellent breakfast, excellent coffee but could be warm(er), polite and helpful staff, short walk to "city center". Hotel area very quiet in mid january.
