The service was excellent, great food. Also the rafting service offered by the hotel is a wonderful experience and the instructors and the guides are very nice and show great care. I've been there 3 times and many more times to enjoy the great tasting meals and will go back. It was a great place to be for me since i love good food and outdoor activities.

Castle Park Hotel is a place of ideals, of beauty, of rest. The owners are very good at what they do, providing comfortable accommodation, a fantastic view and a terrific restaurant with amazing food - everything local, organic, incredibly tasty.
Alma, one of the owners, fulfilled all our "demands" for information, curiosity and still gave us tips for one of the best meals I've ever had.
Congratulations on the couple for having such a nice and idealistic place. It's really beautiful!

Stayed in Castle Park during August 2012. The rooms are like little alpine cabins and are set back from the hotel nestled amongst the trees, with lovely fresh white linen. During our stay, we walked up and down the hill to Berat, and as other reviewers have said, it was a bit of a hike, especially in 30C heat. Yet, after an evening in the town it was a nice leisurely stroll - but pitch black - so bring a torch!

Staff were lovely here - we met a young waiter who was working there for the summer and his English was excellent, and we had good fun with him. Food (especially breakfast) was lovely and fresh - lots of local fruit.

Berat itself is worth a trip for the castle alone.

Spent 3 nights here and really enjoyed it. The "bit from center" location is trumped by very good service and a hospitable Innkeeper! The food was good, the rooms were good. The views were fantastic!
They are happy to drive you to the foot bridge, a 2 minute ride down the hill, which puts you right were you need to be.

Took 25 minutes to walk there from the bridge, walking fast, which is a good walk. Going by taxi you have to take a longer route to get to the traffic bridge.

They hand't heard of us when we arrived, but recovered quickly and found us a room. Even at 3pm with no one else around they whipped up a decent lunch, not sure you'd get that in the UK.

You can't drink the water though and the hotel only sells small bottles.

Room Tip: If the bar/restaurant is open late you can hear the noise from the nearby lodges, so if that might b...

Berat is a UNESCO city. This hotel makes the most of it with beautiful views and attentive staff. Rooms are located two to a building and are adequate but not elegant. The outside patio is stunning. Rafting trips can be arranged by staff on a near by river and its worth it.

There was 6 of us for dinner. We all ordered pizza. After 40 minutes the water came with 2 pizzas and said the others were comming. After 25 minutes ather 2 pizzas came and no apologies whatsoever. after 20 more minutes the last 2 pizzas came. It was horrible experience. When we complained the waiter said that is not his fault and the price will have to be paid in full.
I will never go back.
