After a few days in Pohjikba Valley our group of 4 returned to Punakha. It was one the group members birthday so we decided to celebrate at the Uma Restaurant. We were staying on the other side of Punakha about 30 minutes away (see hotel review).
Despite not being a guest at the Uma we were all made to feel very welcome. They have a great lobby/lounge area with excellent wifi connectivity. There is also an outdoor deck with nice views over looking the valley below.
The meals are prix fixe and offer 2 options. A western and bhutanese option. We had both and they were excellent, although a bit pricey at $80 per person including all fees and soft drinks.
I wish we had splurged and stayed at the Uma. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating.
