Love it! As we were getting here, the owner came outside to take our pictures so no one would be left out. You will love the Boxcar Café – it's the best in town.

This is close to the train ride area so it's nice if everyone needs food pretty quickly. My husband thought their burger was one of the best he's ever had. The grilled cheese sandwhiches were ok as were the fries. It's a cute concept and adds to the ambiance of the railroad experience.

We visited on a Tuesday night. It was not a busy night. The menu is on the wall. There are 8 items to choose from. 3 of our party asked for the baked potato. After about 30 minutes the waiter tells us the potatoes are not cooked and we will have to order something else. Fine, but a bit of a downer that we wasted a lot if time before we were told about the issue. I got the Frito Pie. It was good, not great, but very adequate. The waiter tried to do his best. An average experience overall.

Breakfast was absolutely wonderful. I got a breakfast enchilada with eggs (cooked just right for me), green and red chili, and lettuce and tomatoes in it. Wow.

Excellent service, good food and you get to watch the steam engine while you eat.
Only ate breakfast here so can't comment on other meals.
