“Belinda is the key---”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 December 2013

---as her informative views of Taos, Santa Fe, Chimayo and other nearby locations makes the entire stay a complete and informative resting place. She's also an excellent chef whose breakfasts were timely and delicious. Bravo Belinda! And the dogs were welcome too!!!

We stayed here for our anniversary and it was perfect. Our room was welcoming and private, the facilities were all we could ask for and the staff was gracious and friendly. We had as much privacy as we wanted and also met some great people to talk to. Breakfasts were delicious and we cooked one night in our room and went to a lovely nearby restaurant the next. The grounds were gorgeous and the hot tub was delightful. We hope to return!

Room Tip: The Casa Escondida is a lovely little suite with a private patio where we had a dinner and an annive...

I've known about this B&B for several years, but this was my first opportunity to stay here. A great choice! Lovely, peaceful location out in the country, but close to nearby restaurants, and historic artist's shops. Very cozy and colorful interior with a cheerful breakfast room looking out onto the backyard & tons of birds coming to the feeders. Belinda, the innkeeper, was very welcoming, and had lots of good information to pass along. Her staff was equally sweet & I never wanted for anything. The breakfasts were delicious......and the bizcochito cookies in my room were too good to pass up. (there's also a canister of cookies in the kitchen for that midnight snack).
Griffin, the adorable B&B cat, was a sweetheart & very entertaining.
Two thumbs up for this place.......I'll definitely be back!

Room Tip: I believe any room would be a good choice.....though if you really wanted extra quiet, the detached...

We stayed two nights at this B & B on the outskirts of Chimayo. Our room was the Sun Room, which was spacious and sunny! I loved that there were homemade biscochitos (Mexican cookies) in our room and that there was a resident cat, Griffin, who was friendly and sweet. We were missing our two kitties back home, so he served as a surrogate during our travels. Belinda, the owner, was very gracious and there to attend to whatever we needed. The two breakfasts we had there were very tasty . . . an egg Florentine casserole one day and a French toast dish the next, both with fruit cups and a meat side. I would love to be able to go back and sit out on the patio in the evening when it's not so chilly. I only had one eensy weensy suggestion, to have an additional wastebasket in the bedroom. The only one we found was a tiny one in the bathroom . . . maybe we just had too must trash, lol. Would definitely recommend this B & B.

I stayed here after a long day of flying out from Boston. I had difficulty finding it in the dark, but the owner, Belinda, was so helpful over the phone - she was patient, and got me right to her door. l only stayed one night, but would have been happy to stay longer. The room was lovely, so clean, and quiet. It was the perfect spot for relaxing and unwinding. I was traveling alone, and that can sometimes be uncomfortable, but l felt very welcome at Casa Escondida. Belinda and the staff are very friendly, and were so helpful with myself and the other guests, offering suggestions and directions to local sights, and routes. The next day, it was an easy and beautiful ride to the High Road to Taos. What a wonderful welcome back to the beautiful state of New Mexico! l would definitely love to stay again on my next trip.

We spent most of our honeymoon at this lovely and rustic retreat in a beautiful area of New Mexico. We stayed in the Sun Room, which has its own patio and a nice sitting area inside. We found the staff to be charming and efficient. Griffin, the house cat (also charming) is very friendly and will sleep with you if you let him (we didn't). Breakfasts were ample and tasty; the green chile casserole was my favorite entree, and the sausage was some of the best I've ever had. There was a guest refrigerator available to store leftovers, wine, cheese, etc. While the owner doesn't live in the house, she lives very close by, and was helpful with suggestions about things to do in the area. We loved the relaxed atmosphere, which was perfect for our honeymoon. It was very pleasurable to sit in the hot tub and look up at the sky at night. We heard coyotes yipping every night for a short time; otherwise, it was very quiet. It is an easy drive to Santa Fe or Ojo Caliente; Taos is about and hour and fifteen minutes away. The nearby "High Road to Taos" makes a nice drive even if you don't go all the way there.

Room Tip: The Sun Room is spacious and comfortable, with its own patio. The Vista Room is also spacious and h...
