This is a great place to stay when visiting Albuquerque. The food was fantastic and the host were so helpful and hospitable. I would highly recommend this b and b over any hotel.

Nancy and Dallas Renner have created an oasis of relaxation and beauty in the little village of Corrales, New Mexico which is minutes from the wonderful amenities of artfilled, bit-city Albuquerque, NM.

They are great hosts and their place is immaculately clean and full of southwestern charm without going overboard as so many B&Bs do. The property's lovely patio area has a splendid view of the Sandia Mountains and is frequented by friendly road runners, rabbit, quail, and many other birds in addition to guests of the Turtle. Their breakfasts are outstanding.

While there don't miss Casa San Ysidro, an historical property managed by the Museum of Albuquerque or the farmers market when in operation in Corrales itself. In Albuquerque, take in a performance at the National Hispanic Cultural Center and visit its museum.

Our stay at the Chocolate Turtle was just what the Dr. ordered. Our host and hostess, Nancy and Dallas were attentive and informative and the B&B itself was wonderful. The breakfast was as good a meal as I had in any restaurant the weekend we were in town and the quiet atmosphere of Corales left much to be desired when we returned to the hustle and bustle of the city.

As 50 something travelers, comfort is the key to our happiness. The Chocolate Turtle filled the bill in every way possible. Our hosts, Dallas and Nancy and their very capable sub, Barbara, made our experience in New Mexico so much fun, so comfortable and so interesting that you must try this place.
Dallas's passion for being the best Band B in his business is as clear as the view of the Sandia Mountains, just outside on the portal. He goes the extra mile in little things, great shower accessories, candies in your room, different place settings, all types of drinks, ...just little nice things Our creature comforts were all top-notch and we wanted for nothing. The breakfasts were outstanding, different every day, and were made to accomodate our special diets. The home has a wealth of books and information to use to enrich your time in Albuquerque and the rest of the state.. The restaurant tips were all great, the local Indigo Crow was super as well as others. Be sur e to visit Acoma, The Sky City or you have missed the most inspiring site in the state. I must say in closing that the people of New Mexico are its best kept secret, I never meet anyone that was not friendly. The Land of Enchantment is truly well named and worthy of many visits.

My wife and I love to stay at B&Bs and the Chocolate Turtle is the best one we ever stayed at. Bathrobes, comfortable beds, unending varieties of snacks, refrigerator of soft drinks, cable TV, ample parking, guest computer, very attractive decore and furnishings, and excellent breakfasts are but a few of the ammenities but these items are common to alot of very good B&Bsand does not make them the best B&B we ever encountered. What are their best qualities include a backyard that we looked forward to spending time every morning and evening. The view of the Sandia Mountain is fantanstic and the activities of the bunnies, quail and roadrunners (which they practically hand feed) is both relaxing and entertaining. Another best quality is the owners (Dalles and Nancy) who went beyond helpful and friendly. In our discussions they got to know us and therefore knew what to suggest for us to do in the area. The suggestions of Sky City, an alternative road trip to Santa Fe, and the Balloon Ride and restaurants in any area were all welcome suggestions to our schedule. The owners have an encyclopedia-like knowledge base of the area which is better than any tour book. The last pleasant surprise was the cost of the stay. I felt I got five star quality at a two or three star price. We will be back!
