“Unique stop in the middle of nowhere”
Reviewed 19 July 2014

Worth the $5/car entrance. Great photo opportunities, and we were the only ones there in the middle of a Monday afternoon.

“Interesting”
Reviewed 1 July 2014

Worth the drive from silver city. It has interesting geology. The visitor center was closed. There is a large full hookup campground plus tent camping nestled in the rock formations. Great area for stargazing and there is a nearby hot spring.

“Better than Expected”
Reviewed 30 June 2014

Unique wonderful place, only stayed for a couple hours, would have liked to stay longer. Great place to camp, hike the trails and check out the stars. Off the beaten path but well worth the look. Park was clean. About 10 camp sites among the rocks.

“Strange but Beautiful!”
Reviewed 24 June 2014

This park and "Rock City" is oddly occurring right in the middle of miles and miles of flat grasslands, you have to marvel at it! The gigantic free-standing rock formations were spectacular and for me, well worth today's visit. The park had a visitor's center which we did not visit, restroom facilities strategically placed through-out the park, well -marked camps, picnic and trail areas. Today's visit was in the summer so we could not stay outside too long, (90's), but would definitely like to come back in the winter, fall or spring, where we could have hiked some trails and visited the arboretum on the grounds and spend a lot more time outside. The park was spotless, no litter anywhere. The only negative for me was the trailer park area where the overnighters stayed, spoiled the view to the right.

“A Magical Place”
Reviewed 24 June 2014

We have camped here twice and I can't wait to go back. Our kids love to explore the rocks and there is always something new to discover. Bird watching is excellent. The campsites (undeveloped) are secluded and spacious. The star gazing is divine. This is one of my favorite places in the United States.
