The front desk person warmly greeted me and promptly escorted me to my room, which was a suite. Although I did not have an opportunity to view the entire place, the suite included a fireplace and jacuzzi tub. The hand carved wooden moldings in the room and the main house were wonderful. Would stay again. The only negative is an upfront 50% room charge when booking as there are so few rooms.

This place is killer. I booked my 2-day stay in this hotel purely by accident. The family that run the hotel are lovely people, very accommodating (no pun intended), and are focused on customer satisfaction.

My room, #6, is tastefully furnished in NM style, and it is huge. In fact, it felt like a suite. The bed is top-quality and extremely comfortable. Although I did not use them, the room features a mic and a mini-fridge. The bath features a jet tub.

The hot breakfast they served was fantastic. I had an egg and potato enchilada with some of the best green chile I've ever tasted. Truly restaurant quality.

This hotel reminds me of some of the best small hotels in Italy. It's just excellent. It would be perfect for a romantic weekend.

There was a minor problem. The sign on the street, although large, is poorly lighted at night. I drove by the entrance both nights I was there and had to make a U-turn.

Room Tip: Room 6 is on the second floor and, as far as I know, there is no elevator. The steps were no problem...

Beautiful large rooms with whirlpool tubs in every bathroom. This is a great place to go as a couple or family if you want to be able to spend time in your room. The beds are comfortable and each room has wifi. Each room has a beehive fireplace and classic Northern New Mexico architecture and decor. The main lobby and dining area abounds with fantastic art and artifacts. Antonio and family provide a continental breakfast and specially made breakfast burritos. It is just off of 285 in Espanola. It is about 15 minutes to Chimayo, 20 minutes to Santa Fe and 30 minutes to Taos. Unfortunately, there is no view of anything but if there was a fantastic view then this charming inn would probably quadruple in cost.

Room Tip: All of the rooms were lovely. Room 6 is very large with 1 queen bed but is upstairs. Room 8 and 3 ar...

This hotel was our favorite hotel on our entire trip. We liked it so much we ended up going back for a second night. The rooms were very spacious and very clean. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. I can't say enough about this wonderful place. And if you get the opportunity to meet Dr. Garcia, one of the owners, he will make your evening that much more enjoyable. He is a pleasure to talk. The breakfasts are very good too!

I have never been in a room so big and beautiful. Mexican tile floor, beamed ceilings, massive furniture and all the amenities you could imagine, including free wifi.

The main house has amazing Navajo rugs adorning the floors, along with fine examples of Native American that I drooled over. Santa Clara pots, etc.

Looking forward to some delightful days exploring the area and eating in local restaurants.

This was our second stay, and just as wonderful as our first several years ago. The location is excellent as a base for exploring the area, and the staff are knowledgeable and happy to give suggestions for things to do. They are also very accommodating. When I asked for forks in order to eat some left-overs that we brought back from lunch, I was given forks, knives, cloth napkins and offered a pitcher of ice water to take back to the room. Unlike Malea-n-Michael, we were served by mature women at breakfast and found all the staff that we encountered to be courteous and helpful. The breakfast consisted of an assortment of breads, fresh fruit, and cereals plus freshly baked coffee cake and hot breakfast burritos, a different variety each morning. Although everyone eats in the same area, there are plenty of tables to allow guests to enjoy privacy or to interact with other guests if they choose. The premises are well-cared for, with lovely gardens and immaculately clean indoor areas. Guest rooms are huge, comfortable and very quiet, tastefully decorated in Northern New Mexico style. My only disappointment this time was that the spa-quality soaps and lotion provided in the guest rooms are not available for sale as they were when we stayed here before.

Hubby and I took the 'back roads' to Tucson from NE a few weeks ago and discovered The Inn online. What a lovely surprise! On the main road in Espanola (a sleepy little town near Santa Fe) the Inn offers quiet respite from the dust of New Mexico highways. Our room was spacious, immaculate, and tastefully done in Spanish tile, lace curtains and saltillo. Though it's situated on the highway, the Inn sits back enough to offer its lucky guests peace and quiet, even in the outside courtyards. The staff will graciously show you your room, then leave its guests alone to discover the place as desired. We made one request after arriving and that was for a couple glasses for wine, which were promptly delivered. It just so happened that live (Mexican) music was being played across the way (in some park) and we spent the evening on the veranda outside our room enjoying a good bottle of wine and listening as the sun set. In the morning a substantial breakfast of burritos, juices, rolls, cereal and yogurt is served in the gorgeous dining room, along with good strong coffee! It's true that the town of Espanola offers less than its neighbor Santa Fe (it's a fourth the size), so if you want a night on the town stay in the latter, BUT, if an authentic Spanish Inn experience is what you crave, then THIS is the place!
