This Inn is in Espanola which is not very far from Santa Fe. The room was breathtakingly huge and decorated like it was in a hacienda with kiva fireplace, terra-cotta tiles, vigas, New Mexico furniture, icons, and hand-painted tiles. The gardens surrounding the inn were stunning. The breakfast was yummy. The Living Room of the Inn looks like something out of Architectural Digest with the collections of fine Native American pottery, baskets, and rugs. The rooms are beginning to look abit tired, but are still gorgeous. The price for this huge room (larger than some city apartments) and breakfast was a great deal and I will look forward to staying in this very charming place again soon. I am very grateful that I stumbled across this gem.

We recently returned there after an initial stay many (~10?) years ago. It is as nice as we remembered it. As all the good reviews have said, rooms are huge and elegant rooms with tiles and wood beams, common area where breakfast (try the burrito) is served is majestic, the flower garden which you walk through to reach the common area is beautiful as of this writing, and the staff is very friendly with good knowledge of the area and its history. It is a family run operation with minor problems that crop up that are solved cheerfully. In our case, the door lock malfunctioned for the assigned room so they gave us a different room; no big deal. The toilet had a slightly leaky flap valve so the water ran every once in a while -- reported on our departure. I would recommend Inn at the Delta (named for the shape of the original building, not for any geological features) over comparable lodging in much more expensive Santa Fe. Excellent nearby restaurants (El Paragua, La Cocina, Rancho de Chimayo, Gabriel's, ...) and points of interest (churches in Santa Cruz, Santuario, Las Trampas, Rancho de Taos, ..., Santa Fe Opera, Bandelier National Monument, High Road to Taos, etc.). It is also a gateway to Norhtern New Mexico which is a relatively little known area of beautiful scenery. No pool or exercise room BUT they will give you a pass to use both at the community center across the street. The wifi connection was good (in Room 2).

A beautifully kept Hacienda that now allows visitors to experience the charm and artistry of a 3 generation family run B & B. A relaxing stay to say the least. It enabled us to rest up, have a wonderful breakfast and experience the art work and landscaping of the home.

This place is a gem. It's the real deal, very beautifully furnished with authentic pieces made by local artisans. We stayed in a suite with beautiful tiled floors. The service is wonderful. The staff is so warm and kind. There is an old-world charm about the place. It's located on one of the main drags in Espanola, but the Inn is very quiet and peaceful.

This place started as a labor of love of a Hispanic gentlemen -- he built it for his parents. You can still see the gorgeous kitchen in the main building. The lobby was built and furnished by famous Hispanic artists and craftsmen. The he added work by the truly greats -- e.g., pottery by Maria Martinez of San Ildefonso Pueblo.

The art, furniture. tile work, and woodwork in the individual rooms is not just authentic, again it was built by the best artists and artisans. No other hotel in the entire Santa Fe area even comes close.

Room Tip: Ask at the desk.

We stayed here for a couple of days in Northern New Mexico. We loved our stay. The room was lovely, well furbished in Northern NM style, with plenty of space. The main house with the reception and the breakfast area was very inviting. Breakfast was good but a bit limited in choices. Don't miss out on the breakfast burrito with green chili! The folks handling breakfast were sweet ladies, and we had a great time listening to their life stories. The only drawback of the place is its location. Espanola is just not a place you go to to visit. It worked great for us because we split our time between Taos and Santa Fe, and the Inn is almost right in the middle. But if you intend to spend most of your time in one of those two locations, you'll be better off getting accommodation in town.

The front desk person warmly greeted me and promptly escorted me to my room, which was a suite. Although I did not have an opportunity to view the entire place, the suite included a fireplace and jacuzzi tub. The hand carved wooden moldings in the room and the main house were wonderful. Would stay again. The only negative is an upfront 50% room charge when booking as there are so few rooms.
