“Wonderful hotel in Farmington”
Reviewed 28 October 2013

My husband and I spent one night at the TownePlace Suites in Farmington. This Marriott property is new, clean, and quiet. The rooms have a microwave, two burner stove, dishwasher, full size fridge, large closet, large work desk, and very comfortable bed. Then they add a complimentary hot breakfast as well - oatmeal, eggs, etc.! I will definitely stay here - and at any TownePlace Suites by Marriott - again whenever possible. This property was close to shopping and restaurants. Our room did look out over a shopping center and busy street but the room was very quiet; we didn't hear any outside noise. There is plenty of well lit parking behind the hotel. The staff at the front desk was great; several different newspapers are available in the lobby each morning. We were very impressed with this hotel.

This hotel should be one of your first options when looking into staying in Farmington, NM.
The hotel appears extremely clean and new. Rooms are comfortable and are about the closest you'll come at a hotel of reminding you of home. Rooms have a comfy bed, multiple night stands, a couch, TV, plenty of cabinet and drawer space, and a kitchenette (including a stove top) and all assorted dishes.
Downstairs has a daily breakfast that is typical of hotel breakfasts (eggs, biscuits and gravy, bacon or sausage, cereal, bagels, etc). Staff are friendly and accommodating. Internet is of sufficient speed and quality.
I just want to know why the toilet paper roll is below my knees. Is this a hotel for ants?!

Location-wise, this will be a sufficient choice for most people. Outback, Applebees, Chilis, and a Winery & Bistro are all within walking distance, as is the mall. The downside of the location is if you are looking to stick around downtown and explore the local flavors instead of chain restaurants, it is a bit of a drive (10-15 minutes) and if you are planning on drinking an extremely long walk. Taxis are fortunately cheap--just make sure you don't drink and drive. It's a stupid decision anyways, but cops are unforgiving in this state as well.

We have stayed here several times and have enjoyed our stay each time. As usual, the front desk staff went out of their way to listen to our wishes for room location and will take the time to look for "just the right room". This visit, Roxanne and Irma were especially helpful in helping us. They were both very patient, efficient, and kind. We even got a restaurant recommendation that we'll look into our next visit.
The breakfast in the morning is delicious!! According to my husband, they serve the best biscuits and gravy around. All the food is fresh and replenished often. The lady working in the kitchen makes sure everything is clean, the dining area tables are clean, and the food hot!

We love this motel and stay here whenever we can.

My wife and I stayed here four days while she gave a seminar at the San Juan College. This I the closest nice lodging to the campus. The room is large and full of amenities. There is a king bed, two night stands with reading lamps, a large, built-in desk, a small sofa and a mini kitchen with refrigerator and microwave. That being said, there was no room for luggage except in the small closet. When we walked in the air conditioner was blowing very hard. A call to the front desk brought a engineering rep to our room. He had to take the cover off the HVAC unit but he did set the blower to the low level. Housekeeping is very timely and courteous.

The property is across the street from a large shopping center and close to many eating establishments -- including the number one rated restaurant for Farmington, St Clair Winery & Bistro.

The included breakfast is adequate. Includes powdered eggs and meat, cereal, toast, waffle, juice and coffee.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights while we vacationed in the four corners area. We really enjoyed the clean, new feel of this property. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious. This property is located within very short walking distance of several stores and restaurants including an Albertson's, Target and Walmart.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was kept stocked and was typical for the Town Place brand. We did a lot of hiking in the area and the hot offerings were a welcome start to our day.

The complimentary Internet was easily accessible and had decent bandwidth. (Roughly 6MB DSL) We enjoyed our stay at this property and would definitely stay here again on future visits to the area.

Never stayed at a TownePlace before, so I had no idea what to expect. I should say that I was pleasantly surprised with the thoughtfulness and planning that went into the design of such a concept by Marriott.

I stayed here on my visit to Southwest Colorado/Durango area as its less expensive and about an hour away.About this property, the building is less than a year old, so everything is functional, clean and comfortable. For starters, right from the check in, the big local map with all the local points of interest marked on it to the thoughtful desktops in the lobby along with printer access, everything was well planned. The rooms are comfortable, cozy and provides you will a full fledged refrigerator, microwave, TV etc. Dishes are provided in case you do plan on an extended stay. The Wifi was free ! The free breakfast was not skimpy, one could make waffles and have a choice of coffee/OJ or other juices along with pastries and eggs. I could see the joy on the kids face, waiting for the waffles to be made. Overall a very pleasant experience, could be a wonderful place if you are traveling with family and/or on an extended stay.

Room Tip: Choose rooms on the first floor and park closer to the lobby. Parking in the front of the hotel is l...

Our 1st visit here. Room was clean and nice size for 2 people. Had a Kitchenette which we didn't use. Close to Restaurants and shopping. Check-in was fast and easy. The hotel was very full and we did not hear any noise from the hall or outside. Did not breakfast here so cannot comment. Would stay here again.

Room Tip: We were on the 1st floor at the back of hotel and our room was fine
