My stay at the Inn was nice except for a couple of things. 1st thing was I went to do a load of laundry and there were ants in front of the laundry room. So many that I had them crawling on my shoes! Though I didn't have any in my room I saw them in several areas outside. 2nd thing was the breakfast was basically "continental". Which was fine I'm really not a big breakfast eater anyway. I would probably stay here again IF they would take care of their ant problem.

We had booked our room with this B&B in April of 2006. Unfortunately, we had to cancel the day of our arrival since my Mother, passed away unexpectedly. We were informed that the first day's deposit was not refundable but that our room was occupied the other 2 days. This has made us very unhappy with this location and will not even consider staying at any one of the other locations that is available - especially Santa Fe. We weren't even offered a credit for additional time (perhaps a year) in the future. They had our money for 13-14 months and accumulated interest but couldn't give us ANY TYPE of compensation for the cancellation. Not even staying there we would not recommend this B& B to ANYONE>

This guest has never been to the Casa Blanca Inn to know what an exceptional small property it is. She cancelled the day of arrival without a full explanation of the circumstances. Had we known at the time that her mother passed away, we would have offered her a raincheck to visit our property at a later date. Since we are finding out about this very sad situation now, we will offer her a raincheck and hope that she will come to the Casa Blanca Inn so she can truly rate our property.

We found our way to Casa Blanca fairly easily, but driving in from Grants after a day at Acoma, we got in late. We found a lovely welcome note along with our keys and a map to our suite in the sun/dining room . With a name like Hideaway, I wasn't quite sure what to expect...someplace in the corner, in the dark? No! It was so lovely! Charm plus in the decor along with a microwave, small fridge (quiet!), and large bath. Even my best fantasy was exceeded. I found the staff to be accomodating and gracious, memories of the breakfast served still make my mouth water, and the set-up such that if we wanted to 'eat in' (prepare our own meals in our 'hideaway'), we could do so. I'd go back in a heart beat. Some faint sounds from the streets below, (cars and such) but that was offset by the sense of privacy, gracious living in a quiet neighborhood, and access to points of interest (Aztec +Salmon Ruins, Shiprock, etc.) Unfortunately, my partner has all the photos and he's a couple of states away at the moment. Casa Blanca was one of those rare places that looks better even than its on-line photos anyway!
BTW, we got to wander around the common areas and even look in on another room that hadn't been booked. Had the weather been bad enough, we had access to good reading, board games, art, and a good-sized flat screen (the latter was in our room).

Casa Blanca is Farmington's best kept secret. This is a beautiful inn with amazing decor. The common areas are plush and welcoming. We stayed in the Chaco Suite, which we received as a free upgrade upon arrival. The bed and linens were beyond comfortable. This suite is spacious and the furnishings make the room. The Chaco Suite has a corner fireplace (gas) that we used to take the chill off in the morning. This would be a great room for extended stay, as there is a mini-kitchen that offers all the comforts of home. Breakfast was delectable - green chili scrambled eggs, sausages, fresh fruits, dried fruits, yogurt, cereals, granola, fresh muffins and breads, coffee, hot tea, and fresh squeezed juices. The staff was attentive and ready to meet our special requests. If you are in this area, make it a point to stay at the Casa Blance Inn.
