I stayed at this property approximately one week ago. The stay was originally going to be a two night stay. On the second day, I and my partner noticed we had several bug bites. What we originally thought were mosquito bites, were bed bug bites. We examined the bed thoroughly and saw several bugs moving over the top of the bed. We took a couple of the bugs in a sealed bag, made a video, and took pictures of the whole incident. When we called the front desk, the clerk told us rudely that he could not do anything. At this point, we checked out at 1:30 a.m. On the following Monday, we went to the doctor who confirmed that they were bed bug bites and the doctor prescribed antibiotics and an antibiotic cream. We have since discovered that the hotel has been listed on a national registry of bed bug bite incidents within the last year. The check in date was the 1st of August. After several attempts to reach management and/or ownership, no person has had the decency to contact us in regards to this problem. Furthermore, Wyndham Hotels, the Travelodge's mother company, has only reimbursed us for one nights stay. Not covering the other nights stay, our doctor's expenses, or any other travel inconveniences. At this point, we may have to seek legal remedy to fix this problem. We are definitely contacting the New Mexico Health Department and any other state agencies deemed necessary. If you value your health and peace of mind, DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!

The AC's were in poor working order (yes, I used a plural as it took more than one try to get one that even worked), the towels were grayed, the pillows were so thin as to be useless, the refrigerator and two of the three lights did not work and the breakfast wasn't worth the time they took to put it out. Stay at any of the other facilities nearby.

The hotel was nice, clean and the staff was friendly. Enjoyed breakfast. It was a little bit outside of town so it was fairly quiet. Of course a major rail line runs across the street so you had some occasional train noise at night but it wasn't bad at all. Would stay again if I am in town.

Given the limited options in this town, Travelodge is not disappointing, but also not impressive. It sits in a quiet location, which was very nice after a long day of travelling, but it was not convenient to restaurants nor did it have one in the hotel. The room was sparsely decorated, but clean, and the TV remote did not work. The bed was a very large king, though, and pretty comfortable. For just one night passing through town, it could have been worse.

I was going to give this hotel 3 stars but deducted 1 star for no Wi-Fi and deducted another star for poor security. The back door to the hotel has no lock so anyone can come in and wander the halls at anytime. The check in lady was very nice and reset the Wi-Fi twice but still no Wi-Fi. Water pressure in the shower was low. The room was OK...nothing special. Wallpaper on walls was bubbling. This property is in dire need of an upgrade. But the hotel is cheap at $49 including tax.
