Fast service, friendly, well prepared food. This is not a trendy place, but just good food in the middle of nowhere.

“You gotta' like it...”
Reviewed 2 June 2014

The folks inside are extremely welcoming and try to meet your every need. It's not the best food I've ever tasted, but of course, it is all there is! Too hot to eat inside....get takeout and stay at Heidi's La Cueva Lodge behind it where you can sit at a picnic table over the river!

“Excellent service, food, and Great desserts!”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

Excellent friendly service. Very clean. Casual atmosphere - feels like home! Delicious food, and always a good special of the day! The homemade desserts are fantastic! My favorite is the chocolate peanut butter pie - OMG! It is so rich and delicious! This is a wonderful place to stop and eat for the whole family.

“A good place to eat”
Reviewed 18 May 2014

This cafe is situated in the parking lot of La Cueva Lodge. The service is prompt and attentive. It is very good "down-home" cooking. Nothing fancy, but good food. They are known for their chocolate cream pie. We would recommend the "mornin' mess" and the French toast for breakfast, although the other meals that we saw seemed equally appetizing. The only downside is that they sometimes run out of menu items.

“Delightful atmosphere, great food and excellent service”
Reviewed 7 May 2014

We had a pleasant surprise when we stopped here late on a Sunday afternoon. First impressions are important and the comfortable atmosphere, charm, and delightful fragrance from the wood stove. Great to see real flowers in a Mason jar, not dusty silk flowers in a plastic vase. The photographic art adorning the walls was for sale, making this not only a source of fine food, but a an art gallery as well.

The menu is varied and all three of us were delighted with our meals, ranging from turkey sandwiches to enchiladas. The servings are ample and the desserts are fabulous. The staff was friendly, patient and attentive. This was a very comfortable place to relax and enjoy a great meal. We will definitely dine here again.
