We stayed in the Hampton Inn in Las Cruces for two nights in October 2006. When we booked, they had two rooms remaining. The next day I became ill and could not travel and even though they were overbooked, they allowed us to stay. I was most grateful.
This is the most updated Hampton Inn I have stayed in. They have beautiful furniture, granite counter tops and wonderful beds and new bedding. If one has to be ill on the road, the Hampton Inn is a nice place to stay and sleep all day and night.
The one draw back to this property is that it is the older style hotel with outside entry. This makes for more noise than a hotel with an inner hallway. We had a room right near the pool and front entrance so that did not help the situation. Also, it does not have an elevator and it is not fun lugging your stuff on an outside stairwell in the rain or not. The rooms are also very small.
But, I would stay again and hope for a first floor room in the back.
