Description: Just north of Santa Fe is Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs' secluded sanctuary. Deemed sacred by Native Americans of Northern New Mexico, our legendary waters have been soothing body, mind, and spirit naturally for centuries. The Artesian Restaurant provides a casual dining experience and charming atmosphere. Ojo is the only hot springs in the world with 4 unique, sulphur-free mineral waters. The resort is historic, yet modern and fresh with eclectic charm in a relaxed and tranquil environment. The full-service spa offers a wide array of restorative treatments including nurturing massage and hydrating face and body treatments. Don't miss a soak in a private outdoor pool by fire at night or in the seasonal, detoxifying mud pool. We offer an unpretentious and uncomplicated atmosphere with a variety of lodging accommodations, including enchanting suites, charming cottages, the historic hotel and private homes. All lodging includes access to all mineral pools every day of your visit.

We have eaten at this restaurant several times over the years. The food and service has definitely improved from our previous visits. We will be going back to sample more things on their menu.

I would have given this a higher rating had the service not always been almost painfully slow inside the restaurant area. In the bar area (2:30pm to 10pm), food and drinks are quick and good and reasonably priced. In the restaurant, I have no idea what takes so long, but it has ALWAYS (going back years) taken a long time in there. Breakfast is affordable, dinner much less so. Great to be able to walk from your room to the bar/restaurant, so it works out well, just don't plan on hurrying. The food creations themselves are actually quite good and rather creative as well. Definitely no run of the mill stuff, and kudos to the chef for being creative and putting out a good product. Just speed up the delivery of it.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review of your recent visit to Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs Resort & Spa. Your compliments to our Chef regarding our menu are much appreciated. We apologize that you found the restaurant service slow during your recent stay. Our kitchen staff and servers make every effort to offer superb service. One challenge we have currently is our very small kitchen size, which is being addressed with plans for an enlarged, updated kitchen and dining area. We are confident this expansion will enhance our guest experience, especially during busy holidays and the summer season. You'll also be happy to know we have hired a new Food & Beverage Manager who will be implementing new service training and guidelines for all of our restaurant and wine bar staff.

Please check our website for updates about our ongoing improvement projects. We look forward to better serving you at your next visit.

Sincerely,

Eric Martinez
Guest Services Manager

This restaurant is worth the trip by itself even if you don't even dip your big toe in one of the pools! The food is excellent and the staff is terrific! Relax and enjoy the whole experience. :)

Lunch at the Artesian was quite lovely. We had a wrap, a spinach salad, sweet potato fries, white wine and prickly pear lemonade. It was all good, fresh, and satisfying. Our waitress was so sweet and a lot of fun! A nice place for a hungry stomach at Ojo Caliente.

Part of an extensive remodel of the old Hot Springs property, this restaurant is very good. At lunch, the prices were reasonable, the wine selection topnotch and the service very attentive. to give you an idea: on the menu were cinnamon duck breast with sweet potato cake, Berkshire porkbelly carnitas with black beam mole and pico de gallo, green chile crusted salmon with poblano chile sauce and roasted vegetable chile relleno. I must confess, I only had a salad with chicken strips, but our party of four all agreed on the quality of our food.
