We chose this wonderful B&B based on the reviews we read here. We were pleased to find that all of the raves were spot on. It is clear that the owners put a lot of thought intocreating their B&B. The rooms are charming, comfortable, and exceedingly clean with all of the modern ammenities. They really have thought of everything. Before our arrival, we recieved an email suggesting local sights to visit and special events that were on the weekend of our visit. Upon arrival, we sat in the garden and had a delcious cream tea while watching the neighboring sheep grazing. The scones were warm and and scrumptious. Lesa and Martin took care of everything. They hand wrote directions for travel for us. They recommended restaurants and made a booking for us. They were attentive and very friendly. The breakfast was very tasty and the coffee was the best I have had at a B&B. Several reviewers mentioned noise from the busy road. There is a busy road and while outdoors, we could hear cars going by but in our room, we did not hear any of the road noise and we slept very well. The mattress was incredibly comfortable. Martin and Lesa have thought of everything and we would definitely stay here again.

Quidhampton Mill is a perfect B&B at a perfect location to visit the (wonderful) area: Salisbury, Wiltshire, Dorset …

Our room (The Loft) was situated on the first (2nd for US) floor, was spotless and so lovely furnished. Like every room, it has a private entry.

Our breakfast was a dream. Only local and quality products are used. In a very clear and nice room, we can choose between English breakfast (“Full works”), continental breakfast (pastries and croissant) or blackberries pancakes (see picture). And, of course, orange juice, real espresso, toasts, home made jam, fresh fruit salad …

Lesa and Martin are really welcoming hosts. They do all they can to make us feel good. Some examples: installing a fan in our room because the weather was quite hot, sharing their iPad during the breakfast, preparing a wonderful picnic (with home made scones and lemonade) …

Then, the Top of the Top.

Room Tip: The Loft has a lot of space and a nice view.

My friend and I took a short break to Salisbury and stayed for 1 night in the Bolthole. I thought the room/ accommodation was absolutlely lovely and I would have no hesitation in re-booking if visiting the area again. We had a fab cream tea on arrival and a lot of thought had clearly gone into the little extras in the room and I really liked the decor. There was some road noise but in my opinion the quality of the service and hospitality far out weighed this minor issue. I would definitely recommend a stay here! The breakfast was very nice too...just a shame I didnt have room for the american pancakes!

Lesa and Martin were very welcoming hosts, starting with the long list of things to see and do and places to dine around Salisbury they forwarded with our confirmation and the cream tea Lesa served in the garden on our arrival. The Bolthole room was not overly large, but nicely furnished and the ensuite bath was very nice. Breakfast was delicious and the latte was much appreciated. Our one complaint was the French doors on one wall let in plenty of daylight, but the very small operable window didn't permit enough ventilation to cool the room at night during the unseasonably warm weather during our stay. Additionally, the guest rooms back to a rather busy road that is quite noisy, making it difficult for a light sleeper like myself. On the second night, they provided a fan, which helped cover the road noise and circulate the air, but didn't completely solve either problem.

This B & B is spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. As it was recently built specifically for the purpose, there's no creaky floors, old plumbing, or oddly configured spaces. Everything is new and up-to-date. This is not to suggest that the rooms don't have character - in fact they are so filled with charm and character, they are worthy of a spread in a decorating magazine. The place is just adorable and so are the owners, Martin & Lesa.

Afternoon tea on the day of arrival is superb and breakfasts are ample, tasty, and freshly made to order. Martin's blueberry pancakes are some of the best I've ever tasted!

As another reviewer has noted, the only slight negative is a bit of traffic noise from a nearby busy road, but it did not last all night and did not affect my ability to sleep.

Quidhampton Mill is the perfect jumping-off place for those wishing to visit Stonehenge (take Pat Shelley's tour), Salisbury Cathedral, and other attractions in the area. It has my highest recommendation.

Very pleasant stay. Martin and Lesa, our hosts, were very friendly and helpful.
The rooms were very nice, clean and well equipped even down to a small "emergancy box" with items such as a tooth brush, aspirin, sewing kit etc in case you had need for such an item.

Breakfast was great as well and for those who really love their coffee...they even have a small nespresso coffee machine.

Can highly recommend this place.

I have to say this was the most amazing experience staying at a b&b I have ever had in my life. From the moment we met Lisa and Martin we knew we would be well catered for.The generosity of being welcomed with freshly baked scones with cream and jam plus a large pot of tea was most enjoyable. My wife and I stayed in The Cabin which without a doubt had a very fresh feel about it beautifully decorated in a New England style and pleasing colour scheme and the same feel followed on into the smart high quality bathroom which was iimaculate The breakfasts are amazing, the quality and presentation go beyond all expectations
To anyone visiting the area or just needing a great relaxing stay Quidhampton MIll is perfect!
