We visited Quidhampton Mill Bed & Breakfast for a 2-night stay as part of a long weekend at the end of November earlier this year.
Firstly, when I booked the accommodation a few weeks prior to our stay, Lesa sent an incredibly helpful email which contained information about the area, recommended places to visit and great places to eat; this was so helpful as we had never visited this area before and so it really helped me to plan the weekend a lot better and make the most out of our stay. So I immediately got a great impression before we had even arrived.
We travelled from Bournemouth on the Saturday evening and didn't arrive until quite late however Lesa & Martin were there waiting to greet us which was lovely.
We stayed in 'The Cabin' which is a beautiful, clean double room with all the essentials (comfy bed, tv, hairdryer, storage space etc) along with a great bathroom including a super powerful shower!!
We loved the 'just in case' box and the jar of jelly beans (greatly devoured!)
The location in general is just set back from the road behind automatic gates so although it is close to the road, we would not have been able to tell, personally not experiencing any sound pollution at all.
Breakfast was delicious! My boyfriend opted for the full English and I chose the incredible homemade blueberry pancakes with syrup - very tasty !! There are also cereals, fresh bread, juices and yogurts all available too which meant that we left both mornings very full and satisfied.
We visited the Rose & Thistle pub one evening for a meal; this is a lovely quaint pub and the food was delicious! Salisbury is extremely close to Quidhampton Mill B&B so great if you wish to spend time there. Longleat and Stonehenge are also relatively close by (30-40 minutes drive).
Lesa & Martin are fantastic hosts; they were incredibly friendly and lovely to chat with in the mornings. They also printed us directions and information on places we planned to visit; so kind! We would recommended this stay to anybody looking for a break; we are in our twenties and loved our stay, similarly it would have been perfect for our parents; so great for all ages!
All in all, a great stay in a beautiful area, with fantastic hosts and stunning accommodation/food. Many many thanks. I am sure we will visit again in the future and we will certainly be recommending Quidhampton Mill to all of our family and friends.
