The other positive reviews are right - it's an amazing place to stay in Taos, highly recommended. Breakfast was amazing, the grounds are beautiful. We stayed in the Turquoise room - I know some are smaller but we wouldn't have minded, though we did enjoy the private hot tub that only comes with some of the rooms.

Renee and philip are lovely- warm, generous, helpful with hikes and restaurants. Kelsey is a delight to meet. Wonderfully accommodating. I highly recommend. Renee gives descriptive advice of good hiking in the area and terrific directions. Nelson the cat is everyone's favorite. Breakfasts are delicious as are cookies and iced drink left out at end of the day. Our room, Violetta has a balcony where you can eat dinner from a local restaurant, Read, enjoy a glass of wine etc. Fabulous!

After three nights here, we decided to stay 2 more. Can't say enough good things about this quaint, serene and peaceful location. Even if you aren't into understanding "good energy", you'll get a feel of what it is when you stay here. Every room is different with it's comfortable and unique qualities. Day or night, the property radiates beauty and careful attention. After a good night's rest you awaken to one of the most awesome breakfasts with expansive windows that make you feel like you are eating outside. The most delicious and creative three course breakfast, every morning. Not to mention the extraordinary hospitality of Renee, Kelsey and Phillip. Thorough, helpful, friendly, gregarious and caring. We can say that this experience is one for the memory book. Just make sure you plan to stay for more than one night. You won't want to leave. We wanted to spend a few days just on the property alone. A true gem in the town of Taos. While you're there, try hot air ballooning in the Rio Grande Canyon with Pueblo Balloon Company. What a breath taking experience of a life time. So glad our first ride was in Taos.

Room Tip: You can't go wrong with any of the rooms. Classic adobe which can be somewhat dark but most roo...

My partner and I honeymooned at Adobe & Pines in late July, 2014, after marrying in Taos (at the San Geronimo Lodge, ALSO in Taos and also wonderful, but quite different). We stayed in Cobre, which was a superb room; we loved having the private hot tub available, and enjoyed the space and beauty. The grounds of A&P are just remarkable: when we were there, the Russian sage and poppies were in bloom, and I loved starting my day walking the labrynth, after saying "good morning" to the chickens. Kelsey cooked the most delicious and inventive breakfasts for us each morning. Renee and Phillip could not have been better hosts. Highly recommend!

We greatly enjoyed the hospitality of the innkeeper Rene and her daughter Kelsey during our overnight stay. The breakfast was a revelation though I could have done without the musak (which was responsively lowered at my request). As to our room, Casa Rosa was overly dark so I would suggest better lighting throughout with the dark bedcovers only adding to the cave-like feel...Impossible to read by the low-light, bedside lamps and the bathroom lighting gave one a grayish pallor. I think the grounds could be enhanced with more maintenance. A water feature in the interior patio would be a nice touch. Be prepared for flagstone stairs. Our room even had a short flight of stairs into the bathroom. All and all, a B&B that could use more TLC to match the high hospitality factor.

Room Tip: Ask for the casita rooms in front of the main house that have patio sitting areas in the front.

You are absolutely right about the light in Puerta Rosa! We had already ordered new lamps and shades and they came in shortly after your visit. Also, we already have on our winter project list an update for Puerta Rosa with paint and lighter bed coverings, etc. We will strive for a balance between the majority of our guests who simply love the current ambiance of Rosa and those that would prefer a lighter ambiance.

Regarding the grounds and landscaping, we have chosen to use xeriscape/indigenous plantings for water conservation in our drought-ridden community. Unfortunately, this type of landscape does not lend itself to a groomed and manicured appearance. We have tried several different water features for the back courtyard but their rate of water evaporation conflicted with our desire to be water conscious but we continue to search for a water feature that is less susceptible to a high rate of evaporation.

Thank you so much for your insightful comments which provided us confirmation to our plans to lighten-up Puerta Rosa.

And please let us know if you need a brighter wattage bulb for your reading lamps during your next visit. We frequently change reading lamps for the personal preference of each guest.

Adobe & Pines B&B was so relaxing and peaceful. The room I stayed in, the Violeta, had great amenities and was so comfortable. The private balcony was great for relaxing in the afternoon and for watching the stars at night--I saw a shooting star! The grounds were great for strolling around, including the garden and courtyard with hammock. Delicious breakfast incorporating local and seasonal ingredients, including some grown on site. Located close enough to the main shopping and dining area that eating and shopping are convenient, yet situated so that the grounds and rooms are very quiet and peaceful. Wonderful customer service.

Room Tip: The Violeta is a great room and has its own private balcony, fireplace, and hot tub. Truly lovely.

This is an extremely beautiful property; it was hard to go sightseeing, I just wanted to sit and soak it in. The breakfasts are creative, delicious and substantial. Renee and Phillip are perfect hosts: warm and friendly but discrete. I give this my highest recommendation.

Room Tip: We stayed in Verde, one of the cheapest rooms. It is small but pretty and charming.
