“Beautiful Church!”
Reviewed 14 August 2014

This church was so different than the usual churches that you see. It had amazing architectural lines. It was awesome to visit a church built in the late 1700s.

“Fun to see a famous church”
Reviewed 12 August 2014

I think it's interesting to see the different old churches in New Mexico. This one is especially nice. We've been able to go in every time we've been there. You're not supposed to take pictures inside (though I notice that doesn't necessarily stop people).

“Truly beautiful and unique architectural design.”
Reviewed 11 August 2014

The San Fancisco de Asis Mission church is truly beautiful and of great interest to Catholics. The architecture is traditional, with walls of adobe, but it also exudes an air of modernity - like a Salvador Dali painting. It is located in southern Taos, a short drive from downtown. Unfortunately, it is closed most of the time. We were unable to visit the interior. The exterior is very photogenic, including an attractive flowery garden.

Lovely southwestern architecture and design. The garden is colorful and the church itself is very photogenic.

“beautiful historic church”
Reviewed 27 July 2014

So recognizable from Georgia O'Keeffe's art and many photographs. Iconic image of New Mexico. Definitely worth a stop before hitting the high road.
