We go there when we're in Taos, once or twice a year. They remember us - where we like to sit, what we ordered last time, the dessert battle we always have, our kids, where we live...

And the food is awesome. Chef Patou is our kitchen hero!

This place is great! One of my all time favorite restaurant. We make a point to dine here every time we are in Taos. Chef Rene is a very talented Chef and his team really makes a great dining experience with a superb menu and an even better selection of daily specials that are not to be missed. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but don't let that sway you, it's worth a visit. The original artwork that decorate the walls are an added plus too. Try the Garlic Seared Pork Chop - my favorite!

Drank a good bottle of wine and had two excellent pastas. A carbonara and a spaghetti and meatballs. Couldn't east it all so we had two excellert dinners a couple of nights later. Pleasant and fun place.

I have dined at the Trading Post several times during visits to Taos and it remains consistent and reliable. They have outside dining which is very pleasant in the summer. We shared a very tasty spinach salad as an appetizer. I had a good glass of white wine. However, their white wine is never as chilled as it should be and I guess that they have some technical problem that causes that. We both had the rosemary chicken which was very good and is almost as good as the roasted chicken mother made. The service is attentive and friendly. It is also prompt unless you visit during a busy weekend. The prices for the regular menu are reasonable, but the regular menu has not changed for years. However, they have specials nightly. The only drawback of these is that they tend to be too costly. We'll be back. This is a reliable, very good restaurant.

Two of us for dinner. The atmosphere is nice, the service prompt and friendly and the food was good. We ordered the Rosemary Chicken and the Mushroom Raviolis. Both were good. I wanted the Duck listed on the menu, but it was not available.
