“Prime location, but VERY old motel style cabin.”
Reviewed 6 July 2013

Prime location in the heart of town. The community style feel was awesome. The park was kept very clean. The only free standing cabin was #33. Very very old lodge. We had #31 which was a 4 br, but had to walk thru a bedroom to get to ours. Overall, we visit red river often and would not be back to the alpine. I feel you can get more bang for your buck at other lodges around town.

We had a great experience staying at the Alpine Lodge. We has four adults and a toddler and had a great time. Location of the lodge is perfect. It was very quiet and peaceful during our stay. We will stay there again for future trips.

We could not have a better, more relaxing stay. We pretty much lived outside every day we were there and just loved the park and the stream. We set up behind a couple of big willows with chairs and blankets and just felt like we were the only ones there. We cooked the fish we caught on one of the BBQ pits provided and just had the greatest time showing our kids how Mom and Dad could put food on the table in a pinch. We sat by the campfire in the evening and talked about the highlights of the day and what we would do the next day. The best part was, we barely turned the TV on the whole time we were there and realized we barely missed it at all. Kudos to the Alpine for keeping the property so clean, the park perfect, and for having such a wonderful staff, see you all next June!

Room Tip: We asked for one with a view and close to the stream.

This is a good place to stop when on a road trip. My buddy and I ride through each year and always find availability at this large lodge. It is right on the river and beautifully kept both in the rooms and throughout the 4 acres. Owners are usually on site which accounts for the attention to detail. We usually select a basic hotel type room with 2 beds but once we stayed several days and instead rented a two bedroom cabin with more space and a kitchen. I think it was #10. We parked our bikes right outside our room and the parking area was asphalt which made it easy to park our bikes. Sometimes we call ahead and book and sometimes we just stop in. It has become our stopping place when in the area.

Room Tip: Bike parking is on asphalt in rooms near the river rather than on gravel as in many places in town.

Our cabin was perfect for our family. It was number 19 which was a large two bedroom with a large living room that had a fireplace, nice size kitchen, and with two girls having two bathrooms was really nice. We also enjoyed the convenience of walking to the lift and being near the shops. The cabin was clean and everyone working there was friendly and helpful. We would definitely return.

Room Tip: Ask for #19 because it is especially spacious.

This place was perfect for our family ski trip. They work hard to give guests a stress free vacation. Booking online was easy, check-in fast, condo very clean and customer service exceptional. We stayed in condo #207 which was perfect for us with a king size bed in the master bedroom and extra beds in the living room area for the kids. The condo also had two TV's. The kitchen was just like home, not a kitchenette like so many other places, with a four burner range, full-size refrigerator and all cooking supplies we needed. Our family had the perfect vacation here. We plan to return for another spring break trip.

Room Tip: #207 is great for families and close to the lift.

This was our second trip and we had another satisfactory stay. We went on a ski trip this time in March and stayed in a similar room that faced the mountain. The location was an easy walk to the lift and to places to eat. Staff was friendly and helpful in directing us to winter activities since we had not visited in the winter before. Room was clean and comfortable as during our fall trip.

Room Tip: Rooms on the east side have views of the mountain and are closest to the lift.
