Simbambili Game Lodge
Certificate of Excellence

Our honeymoon stay at Simbambili Game Lodge was incredible. My husband & I both have food allergies, and the staff was incredibly accodomating. Our guide Liam & tracker Mumps took us on incredible drives, and we saw the big 5 within the first day. We loved the dinner in various locations, our favorite was the BBQ in the riverbed with gas lanterns, so romantic! The room was clean and incredibly spacious, and the surprise dinner with candles and a bubble bath was incredible. I can't recommend Simbambili Game Lodge enough!

Room Tip: All the rooms are amazing!

This has to be one of the best places in Sabi Sands. Every effort is made to make your safari a memory of a lifetime. No effort is spared to ensure that every little detail is attended to. From the welcome hot towels and drinks on arrival, to the electric blankets being turned on every night for a cosy sleep. Hot water bottles and blankets for early morning safaris as well as fantastic coffee served in the bush. Every meal was a dining experience. The service is amazing too.

We had Richard as our guide. We informed him that we were very keen to see leopard as we had seen the rest of the big five on a previous stay in Tanzania, but had not been lucky enough to see a leopard. We saw leopard every day of our safari. The first was a female just passing by within touching distance from our vehicle. The next a male with a kill sitting under a tree just metres away and then a pair mating which were tracked down by Richard and his tracker. What an experience! We saw wild dogs hunting and then back at their den with their six young pups. We saw rhino, hippo - so close you could almost touch. We saw lions with their kill. It was truly amazing.

If you have the opportunity to stay at Sambamibili. jump at the chance!!

Being up close to African wildlife with a very knowledgeable guide and tracker was a wonderful enough experience for us, but the accommodation and service at Simbambili was truly amazing. Beautiful rooms, excellent food and so much thought and attention to detail: the provision of blankets and water bottles for your early morning tour, champagne breakfast in the bush (with portable loo, washbowl, soap and towels), al fresco cocktails at sunset, a different dinner setting every night....just brilliant. Yes its expensive but every cent was worth it.

This is one of my favorite places In Sabi Sands! The staff is excellent and food good - the views of the waterhole and area are spectacular - I love the rooms and the balcony off the bedrooms - great for a relaxing time. Richard was great for the ranger and we saw some fantastic animals - I look forward to seeing everyone again next year- will bring all my Arizona friends back!! Thank you for all the personal touches !!!

Room Tip: Don't recommend the honeymoon suite - a bit noisy as it is located near the cooking area/staff a...

We stayed four nights in Suite #2...what an exciting adventure. Lovely accommodations, excellent food, very friendly staff, excellent game drives twice a day, with sundowner cocktails in the evening and morning coffee in the wild. With Pierre and Service as our guide and tracker, we were amazed around every corner. We did see the Big Five, plus giraffe, zebra, impala, hyena, etc. we are so impressed. Would return again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend this lodge.

Had an amazing 4 days at Simbambilli! Everything was perfect saw all the big five and more. If you like Leopards this is the place as we saw Leopards in all but one of our drives! Including mating leopards and leopard cubs. The staff were all amazing and helpful great rooms, great food and far too much :) Liam our guide was very knowledgeable and even more enthusiastic than us! Mumps our tracker was a legend walking into the lions den (well leopards den) literally to find them. Best holiday/honeymoon ever. Thanks so much guys! Tom and Elfi

This was our 4th stay at Simbambili and it did not fail to impress during our stay of 5 nights.
We had the Waterhole Suite this time which has a separate lounge area and wonderful view of the waterhole which was visited by hyena during our stay. We woke up each night to the sound of hyenas calling and the roar of lion. The days are so tranquil that you never want to leave. Thanks to our excellent Field Guide Richard and his tracker Mumps, we were truly spoilt with our sightings. Leopard each day (including mating leopard) to daily sighting of a pride of lion who had brought down 2 buffalo on our last day as well as Wild Dog, what more could we ask for. Make sure you request Richard and Mumps when making your reservation!! The staff are extremely friendly and go out of their way to accommodate any requests. We will most certainly be back and cannot wait.

Room Tip: The Waterhole Suite has a separate
