“Beautiful!”
Reviewed 17 March 2013

Larger-than-life horses running through a landscape. Comfortable walkway (some steps and incline) with benches and good spots for photos. Signs giving descriptions of the breeds.

“Dave McGary's Masterpiece!”
Reviewed 26 January 2013

These wonderful statues are one and a half times life size and weight a ton or more each. Some of the horses are balanced on one hoof. They represent the American horse breeds and are beautifully done, with Dave's attention to detail. There are swirls in the hair of their coats, and are wonderful to spend time looking at and photographing. A wonderful introduction to the Hubbard Museum of the American West (formerly the Museum of the Horse).

“Great photo op”
Reviewed 19 August 2012

This is a must see when you go to Ruidoso. It doesn't take long and is a good place for pictures. I especially love it because my favorite horse, the Appaloosa, is one of the sculptures. It's amazing how only one hoof on one of the horses actually touches the ground and holds up the whole sculpture.
