This hotel's smoke alarm went off at 5 am and finally at 9:30 am it got turned off. This is a no pets allowed hotel yet a dog was in the room next to us. So, each time the alarm would sound, the dog would bark for 10 to 15 minutes. The staff was unapologetic and would not refund a portion of our funds. This was the most Miserable stay I've ever had at a bestwestern

When we wish to get away into the mountains around Ruidoso, NM, we stay at the Camelot Inn as we have found the staff excellent, rooms are comfortable and roomy, and a great value for the money. I recommend this hotel to stay at when you are in the area.

The worst experience in my life. We arrived late at night got checked in and as soon as we got to sleep the smoke alarm went off every few minutes until 9:30 am. This was supposed to be a pet free hotel but each time the smoke alarm sounded, a dog would bark for about 10 minutes. We called the front desk to see what was going on and was told they didn't have a clue and we would just have to deal with it. I asked about the dog and they said it was NOT a service dog but those guest with the dog stay there a lot. I'd rather sleep in my car than stay here again. Seriously it was awful. Also the hot tub and pool was closed. I specifically asked about the pool when I made reservation and was not told about pool and hot tub closing. Very disappointed in this best western location

The employees were more than unhelpful and there were roached in the entrance and floating in the hot tub. The breakfast was enjoyable. I think they need to work on pest control and customer service. The sleeping accomodations were fair and the room itself was clean.

The Palo Duro Canyon Best Western is very nice. and Lee,was a very nice checkkin person and very helpful too. We arrived into Canyon very late and all they had was the smokers room available, but you know when you are so tired, that's OK with me. So we took the room and it wasn't half bad and had very comfortable beds . They even kept the breakfast area open for us a little longer because of our late arrival!!! Thank You staff!
