There are no words to comment people and location: the first hospitable and helpful, with a friendly smile; the place beautiful, very clean and with great care to details. Clive and Freddie are the best for the game drive! Thanks to everybody!

We spent 3 nights at Kapama on the first leg of our African Adventure! The lodge is 15 minutes from the airport where you are transported in open safari vehicles. The service from check in to check out was outstanding. Every need that one may have is already anticipated ahead of time. Our guide, Harry, was outstanding. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about his job and the animals on the reserve! Over the course of the 3 days we saw the Big 5!! Our animal sightings were amazing! Harry tracked the leopard early one morning and followed the tracks for about 30 minutes until we were literally right beside him! Truly amazing ! Highly recommend this lodge and safari experience!!!

Room Tip: We had a safari suite that was comfortable for a family of 4!

The property is very well laid out with bends in the paths to get near potential animal viewing. My room's balcony also had an excellent view of the bush, where I saw vultures and other birds, nyalas and other animals; the nyalas wandered around the property close enough to touch every day. One day I took a video of a warthog munching the grass right below my balcony, which was wonderful. Another day enroute to a relaxing massage at the spa, I was almost late watching a giraffe biting leaves off a tall tree. Took a photo right outside the spa of two warthogs frolicking in the mud. Food was excellent as was the service.

The guides were extremely good - very knowledgeable and amazing how they can find animals from so far away. And animals they found: lions, buffalo, hyena, giraffes fighting each other, elephants that went around our vehicle like a river parting for a rock, rhino, hippo. Saw one lion hunt but they didn't get the prey before they got too tired. Saw a massive crocodile. Great trip and great value for the money.

We spent 6 days in this magical place as part of our honey moon. The initial idea was to experience wild life in first person, what we were surprise by the whole stay.
Just from the beginning we know that this will be "one in a lifetime" experience: From the plane, when we were landing, we saw rinhos , giraffes and elephants.
Our "ranger" was there waiting for us, she took our bagage and put it in the truck that will take us to the Reserve. Was a 15 minute trips from the airport to the River Lodge area. After a nice welcome and the easiest and simplest check-in, we get to our room. We're still amaze by the luxury and the amenities we got there, in the middle of the wild. What you've seen in pictures is truly what you get!
The safari experience was formidable, there're 2 each day, one in the morning and the other in the afternoon: and even on a very a rainy day it's pretty enjoyable! The rangers know their job telling you facts and tips about all the animals we've came across.
We saw ALL kind of wildlife; including the BIG 5 (with the exception of the leopard, which I beleive don't exsist :-P) . They have a great pool, if you dare to sacrifice safari time to waist in it. We also did the Romantic Sleep Out, a nice experience in a private bungaloo where we spent the night in open air, we took dinner there with the Reserve's chef who came specially to cook for us.
Breakfast, Dinner, Lunchs..all of them were fabulous and top level.
Besides the fact that the travel ocassion was special, the place and it surroundings made it a living fantasy!
