We really enjoyed our stay: the food was lovely, the wildlife amazing, the accommodation extremely comfortable....and the "ablution block" clean and perfectly adequate. The bucket shower was bliss! We would have liked to be introduced to those staff who were busy keeping the place swept and replenished and ordered, especially as guests are given specific recommendations as to what daily tips to give. We were glad to reward in this way, but tips should be at guests' discretion, not really an add-on. Kgomotso, our ranger, is not only gorgeous but sweet and gentle too. But her true strength is in her expertise and passion for Mosetlha. She spotted three vultures in the far distance and correctly surmised that their presence could only mean a large animal had died. She apologised to us as we waited for extra hands to arrive (correct procedure) and after 20mins the other Land Rover turned up, Jonny and K confirmed that a black rhino had been shot for its horn. We watched as the park rangers arrived and later heard that the police had been able to retrieve a bullet. Let's hope this will lead to an arrest. The scene was tragic; the killing had happened at a waterhole and the poor animal had not managed to move far before it died.
Credit to Kgomotso for her exemplary reaction. We'd love to go out with her again sometime soon.

We very rarely return to places on our travels, but Mosetlha Bush camp is an exception we will make over and over again. Offering the best way to experience Madikwe, you're instantly drawn into the informality and the effortless way in which all of the team just make it happen for their guests. You're amongst friends from the minute you step onto one of the camp's Land Rovers at either the park admin station or the airstrip and from then on, their place is your home - with all the quirkiness and unique touches that take Mosetlha head and shoulders over lodges in Madikwe - when was the last time you used a potty in the middle of the night, with a leopard strolling through the camp only a few feet away!? Mosetlha prides itself on its game drives and rightly so. The guides are the best we've experienced in Southern Africa and their extensive knowledge of the Reserve will secure that elusive sighting or photo if it's humanly possible. If you're serious about Nature and want to go to your comfortable bed every night absolutely shattered, with the widest grin on earth, stay in Mosetlha. We will again.

Thank you Mosetlha for a truly memorable stay!
Mosetlha Bush Camp is everything Trip Advisor reviews promise, plus so much more - truly 'paradise found'!!

Mosetlha is everything I've ever yearned for in a bush camp: a close-to-nature, friendly, laid-back, come-back-again-soon haven.......with comfortable beds open to night breezes and night sounds.....early morning flames under the donkey boiler promising hot water only a short walk away ......delicious meals, elegantly and convivially satisfying more than one's needs......open breeze-catching lounging spaces to while away leisurely afternoons, with interesting fellow-travellers and piles of interesting books...........drinks, both hot and cold, always freely available.......a welcoming fire........'firefly' lanterns magically transforming the camp at night
....and I haven't yet begun on the joys of game drives from Mosetlha: close encounters with the big 5, wild dogs, (an all-time high) - roaring lions, hooping hyenas
Ah.... I love the African bush, and long to be back at Mosetlha!!

We spent 3 nights at Mosethla during September, enjoying the warm, dry weather and the very sociable camp life and game drives. Management, staff and game rangers really go to a lot of trouble. And getting so close to wonderful wildlife - definitely to be recommended. Marianne H

My father and I spent a little over two weeks in South Africa in August. Mosethla was incredible. If you are considering doing any type of bush camp experience on your trip, this is the place you want to go.

The manager, Paul, our guide, Kgomotso, and the other staff members were incredible. Friendly, knowledgeable, and very welcoming. Accommodations, meals, and service are top notch. And, we saw an incredible array of animals on each drive.

You will not be disappointed with a stay at Mosetlha. We can't wait to return.

I figured it was a great place to get engaged! Absolutely one of our favourite places to visit and unwind. After trying to explain to people why and what it is about I figured photos speak louder than words!

What an unforgettable experience. The Lodge is rustic with no electricity yet despite this the rooms are great, bed was comfortable water bottle included, hot water via a donkey boiler ensured great showers. Food was awesome, ate far too much!! Guides - knowledgeable, fun, great trackers. Wildlife, too much to mention, Madikwe is home to big 5, saw all 5 plus so much more big and small, furry and feathery. evenings spent around the open fire enjoying tails of the bush with fellow guests, everyone here shares the table, fire etc so no one is left out, you are having fun as well as seeing great wildlife and learning about Africa

Room Tip: all rooms are the same my tip is, if you want to see the wildlife go in Winter (Southern Hemisphere...
