Superb. We had a wonderful four night holiday. Every detail has been taken care of by staff and at all times we felt special. Thank you.
Accommodation is magnificent. Game drives personalized and meals excellent.

Room Tip: All the rooms are beautiful and luxurious

This was our first safari and with any luck it will definitely not be our last. Madikwe Hills will be where we will stay for our next visit as well. The staff met us as we arrived with refreshments and immediately we felt welcomed, as if we were coming home. The hotel itself was beautiful with each of our rooms having a private deck and awesome views. We went on our first excursion a few hours after we arrived and were definitely not disappointed. Our guides were very professional and accommodating. On our third day we managed to see all of the Big 5 in one day – it was incredible. Each excursion was like exploring a new territory, seldom seeing the same thing over and over. While we were out on a safari the hotel kitchen was preparing our next fantastic meal, which rivaled a 5 star restaurant. We returned, and sat down to either a made to order breakfast or an outstanding evening meal.
We felt very lucky to have experienced Africa in its beauty and applaud the efforts to preserve the habitat and wildlife. Our luck was due in a large part to the excellent staff, the attention to detail and the respect all had for the environment. We look forward to going back.

We have stayed at a few lodges in the Madikwe Game Reserve and this was my second stay at Madikwe Hills Private Game Lodge.
Not only is it a beautiful lodge, well maintained and properly run, but the staff also as a unison give one the best possible experience one can possibly have at a private game lodge.
The food was very good and well presented. The service was briliant and the game drives a real bush experience.
Madikwe has the benefit of a large pack of wild dogs, a portion of which we were fortunate to see. Other than that you are basically guaranteed to see the big 5 and have a pleasant bush experience.

This was a great romantic getaway. The fireplace in the room added a romantic touch and was greatly appreciated on the cold nights. Returning from the evening game drive to find a bubble bath waiting for us one night was magical. The lodge location near the middle of the park made for great game viewing, we got lucky and saw the big five on our first evening. Hot water bottles on the morning game drives were a lovely touch and much appreciated. Food was excellent, service was excellent - all in all an experience we will not soon forget!

Room Tip: Rooms 3, 4, 9 & 10 are on the lower level looking out directly at the water holes. Excellent for viewing the animals that frequented the water holes at this time of year.

I went into this vacation hopeful that the trip was worth flying my family half way around the world and all expense would be worth it. It was the best vacation ever! I never once had buyer's remorse. The Madikwe team is absolutely 5 star. They were all willing to help no matter what we needed. Our game master, Nicholas was amazing. The food all equal to a gourmet restaurant. When we go back, not if, I hope the team is all still there.
