Madikwe Safari Lodge (Lelapo) and game reserve seeped into our souls over a 5 night stay at the end of July (we could easily have stayed a few days longer without getting bored). The accommodation is luxurious without being gaudy, and it is very cleverly situated within the bush for minimum impact on the environment. The food is superb. We travelled with our 11 year old daughter, who loved every minute of it (as did we). The game drives were excellent, with Andre, our ranger, who was very knowledgeable, interested, and interesting. We were also lucky enough to experience a wine tasting out in the bush, an experience that we will never forget, with thanks to Clive for being such an entertaining & knowledgable host. All the staff at Madikwe make such a positive impression, with everything combining to make for a truly magical experience, filled with style & panache!
