With the recommendation of our hotel, we first visited Taos Pueblo, taking the tour and visiting the shops in the buildings. We found the tour to be helpful to understand the history of the area. No anti-white flavor in the tour. The stream through the grounds was used for water and catching trout. We tired to find trout in the restaurants in the area, but had a difficult time. Shop had beautiful Indian art. We should have purchased there. A enjoyable afternoon to start our stay in Taos.
