I liked the diversity of the native American, Spanish and other items in this collection. It was very well laid out throughout the beautiful former home set just outside of Taos "downtown" area. It was not crowded at all and was a nice side trip for our visit to Taos.

Documents the history of the area and it's people with artifacts and crafts. Beautiful and comfortable to browse the exhibits. Much to learn by reading the excellent documentation. For the person interested in owning authentic local crafts, this is the place to start and inform yourself.

This is one of my favorite museums, all the local art is first rate and it is small enough to really enjoy. The Jicarilla Apache trading exhibit in May be as really great, the first time they came to Taos in years.

The Millicent Rogers Museum is off the beaten track outside of town in Mrs. Rogers' former house. After she moved to New Mexico Ms. Rogers amassed a large and very fine collection of Native American weavings, pottery and jewelry which is on display. Money was no object so the collection is top notch. The building is also interesting. Don't miss it.
