“Excellent Taos Accommodation”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 January 2012

Peacefully located just a few minutes drive from the small town of Taos this lovely house was very relaxing with several communal areas and tea, coffee, soda and snacks at every turn! We stayed in the Taos Mountain room which was large, quiet and very comfortable. Since the weather was a little inclement we particularly appreciated relaxing in front of our own kiva at the end of the day. Joe and Lisa, as others have said, were friendly and informative and Lisa's breakfasts and evening snacks were excellent.

We can particulalry recommend Taos Inn for evening meals with excellent food, friendly staff and the live musical entertainment (we saw a folk guitarist one evening and two classically trained cellists on another) in the lounge bar making for a great atmosphere.

Joe and Lisa are our new best friends inTaos! They anticipated and met every need we had with ease and grace. It was home away from home, what more could one ask for! Wonderful breakfasts, lots of coffee, tasty snacks awaiting us coming back from hikes and shopping, can't beat it. We want our family to experience Casa Europa next time!

Room Tip: There's no "bad room" all are great!

I agree with the many previous 5 star reviews. Casa Europa is a wonderful place. It is beautiful, clean, comfortable and very convenient to all the Taos attractions. Lisa's breakfasts were delicious and Joe is funny and helpful. Both are friendly, trusting and gracious. We traveled here with my brother and sister-in-law and we all had a wonderful time.

I can only agree with many previous reviews. This is a splendid place with wonderful hosts. Joe and Lisa make us feel like old friends. The rooms are beautifully appointed. The breakfasts have been delicious and the evening desserts have been spectacular. We try not to eat desserts, but they have so yummy we just gave in. I would highly recommend this B & B.

We spent 5 fantastic days in Taos staying at Casa Europa. Lisa and Joe were the most gracious hosts. Their B&B is beutifully decorated, comfortable, roomy, warm and inviting inside and out. Most of the other guests there were return visitors and I can see why. I know we will be back. We stayed in the spa room with a king sized bed, couch, desk, hot tub, refrigerator, snacks, and our own patio to enjoy. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast every morning and very tasty home made desserts served every evening. I didn't want to leave. This was a fantastic place and the price was very reasonable. This is THE PLACE to stay in Taos!

We stayed in the casita, and loved it. Plenty of space for a family of four, full kitchen so we were able to cook dinners. We didn't need lunch because the breakfast was plenty filling and delicious. The highlight was the resident cat, who invited herself in on a regular basis and received as much affection as we were willing to offer. Lisa and Joe were very friendly and provided us with lots of advice about what to do around Taos.

We recently spent 3 nights at Casa Europa. We have stayed at many B&Bs over the years including 2 that are currently on the Top 10 (Bend, Oregon and Corrales, NM).

We absolutely loved Casa Europa and Joe and Lisa. The B&B is huge with rooms spread out on two floors and beautifully furnished. We enjoyed the French Room but absolutely fell in love with the Taos Mountain Room. Joe and Lisa go above and beyond in every way. We arrived on my birthday and Lisa had made a delicious Black Forrest Cake to celebrate my special day. Every day she put out a wonderful dessert at 4 pm. Boy can that girl bake! Coffee and tea were also available with her wonderful baked goods. Breakfast was super delicious and seconds were offered. How generous and nice is that? To give you an idea of the breakfast, 4 juices were offered each day along with fruits, entrees, accompanying meats and baked goods were so very tasteful. She is a very creative cook besides being a wonderful baker. Soft drinks and snacks were readily available. A common room was available on each floor and there were beautiful artwork hung throughout the B&B. The Taos Mountain room had a wonderful porch where I enjoyed looking out at the wheeping willow and other mature trees.

It is apparent that the B&B is a labor of love and Joe told of his plans to start working on the outside of the B&B now that they are satisfied with the interior. All of the rooms are very large and I loved the bed dressings (so cozy). Because the rooms are spread out, there is absolutely no noise and a very restful sleep was enjoyed by me (the world's lightest sleeper). Two huge tables are located in the dining room which is one of the prettiest rooms we have encountered.

Joe and Lisa were generous with their time and gave us many helpful suggestions on area restaurants. Everyone of the guests staying at the B&B appeared to be enjoying their stay.

When my husband and I left (after an exchange of hugs) we commented that we could not think of one solitary thing that could be improved upon at the Casa Europa. Joe and Lisa never encouraged us to write a review for them on Trip Advisor (as other B&Bs and restaurants have done). I think they know that word will spread about this wonderful B&B and I am sure they operate at their maximum capacity for a good part of the year. In my opinion, this B&B not only should be on the top 10 but should be listed as number 1. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful in every single way. Loved it!

Room Tip: Taos Mtn. was lovely and super quiet
