“Wonderful first time experience!”
Reviewed 16 June 2013

This is the first B & B we have ever been to. We couldn't be more pleased. Joe and Lisa are very charming and friendly and the inn is lovely. Our room was perfect for our weekend
get-away. Breakfast was superb each morning and the desserts in the evening were delicious and just perfect for an evening treat. We are probably spoiled now and may think no other B & B can ever measure up to Casa Europa.

Joe and Lisa were wonderful! Great room, food, and atmosphere. They upgraded our room at no charge! Housekeeping was great, cleaned everyday we were there. Lisa prepared great afternoon desserts as well. It was not far from Taos Ski Valley. Joe and Lisa were great at giving us tips on were to eat dinner and shop during the day as well. I definitely recommend Casa Europa.

Casa Europa is simply wonderful. I have come here multiple times (with family, with my husband). Each time we are blown away by the hospitality of Joe and Lisa. They truly want to make sure you are taken care of. We love coming back time and time again.

My wife and I have stayed here multiple times over the past 5 years. Joe and Lisa are simply the best hosts we have ever encountered. We just love them. They do a wonderful job giving you tips on what to do in town, where to eat, etc, but they are also just great people to talk to and spend time with. You cannot ask for better people to stay with than Joe and Lisa.

The inn itself is beautiful. The architecture is unique yet it fits right in with the Taos "feel", Joe and Lisa have done a tremendous job furnishing the place to give it a home-like yet luxurious atmosphere. The food is unbelievable, as well. Breakfasts are incredible. Lisa does a wonderful job providing food that is original but at the same time comforting and home-like. The afternoon desserts are so good you'll want to sneak seconds if you can. The inn is in a great location that is minutes away from the plaza but far enough away to feel relaxing and isolated. We genuinely feel that we have a home in Taos whenever we feel the need to come (which is too far and too few between).

Room Tip: We have stayed in three different rooms - the Taos Mountain Room has its own balcony and great view...

You will not find better hosts (or people, for that matter) than Joe and Lisa. They run a nicely appointed B&B with architectural character and convenient location, being only a short drive from downtown Taos. The late afternoon dessert didn't hurt either (except my waistband). We stayed in the Southwest suite, which was private and quiet. The option of the second floor entrance was convenient, too. If we return to Taos anytime soon, we will definitely book a suite at Casa Europa.

Case Europa is located on the outskirts of Taos, a large hacienda situated on an old horse trail. Though it is not in walking distance to the Plaza, it provides a warm, peaceful and inviting home away from home as well as a wonderful value. We arrived the 3rd week of October to perfect fall weather and fewer tourists. Our room (Willow) was more spacious than expected and included a sitting area facing a fireplace. Our hosts were very gracious and provided excellent restaurant suggestions as well as an overview of the area. We enjoyed the full home-cooked breakfast at the dining room table because it gave us a great chance to converse with the other travellers, many who have booked at the B&B before. And we enjoyed returning in the afternoon for tea/coffee and dessert before heading out to dinner. I highly recommend this B&B and will plan to return to Taos and Casa Europa in the future. Only recommendation - I would love to see a computer/printer added to the the many amenities.

Choosing a bed and breakfast when traveling is often a roll of the dice, but this is one B & B you can bet on! The location is a very short drive outside of Taos, which is a good thing. I couldn't imagine staying in the center of the action. Th inn is a converted hacienda and it has the feel of a Spanish estate. Our room was absolutely delightful with its own fireplace and balcony. The hosts, Lisa and Joe, are great people, wonderful conversationalists, and terrific cooks. Also, they can recommend amazing restaurants and must-do's in Taos. I've stayed in many inns over the years, and this is truly one of the best.

Room Tip: The Mountain Room is perfect, but I imagine they are all beautiful.
