My wife and I stayed two nights in the Santiago room with our pooch. It was perfect for the three of us. The location was so close to the Plaza that we never used our car to shop or eat meals. The Kit Carson Park is down the street for our four-legged friends. The breakfast was good and the staff very pleasant. We recommend it and will definitely stay again!

Room Tip: All the rooms are very nice. You can't go wrong with any of them.

La Dona Luz is a gem. It's a gorgeous hotel, with immaculate southwestern art and incredible architectural and authentic furniture details, yet it's affordable. Paco, the owner, is the nicest guy you'll ever meet. To boot, the building was his mother's house, and the hotel has been his lobor of love. He has painstakingly restored, expanded and improved upon the hotel in a million ways. His mother painted the kitchen cabinets with charming murals and the rest of the rooms (I have seen them all) are each carefully considered and filled with lovely art. This building is itself is simply a work of art. The place is small enough that I feel like I've actually gotten to know Taos, and one of its more charming residents (Paco). Stay there. You won't be disappointed. I'm coming back with my wife and daughter!

Room Tip: Each room has a distinct personality. I've seen them all. Look online for pictures.

This was our first time in this B&B.We stayed in the Sonrisa room upstairs. It was a beautiful room. Large with a great bathroom and views from all windows! The bed was comfortable. And the room was quite large. The convenience was great! Within walking distance to every place in the Historic District! The food was awesome! Paco, the host was great! He and his staff made us feel more than welcome! We would definitely stay here again and try all the other rooms! Every room was beautifully done with wonderful artwork! We will be back! Thanks Paco!!!

Room Tip: This room is great if you like to get up early. The sun shines through the curtains but since we lik...

We enjoyed staying at La Dona Luz Inn. It is beautifully decorated with art work of several varieties which enliven the white adobe walls of all of the Inn's rooms. We stayed in a two story full kitchen flat with access to the roof where a hot tub is located. The room decor was lovely. The location of the Inn is perfect...right across from the Plaza. The innkeeper is a character..friendly and funny. He was wrestling with a computer breakdown when we arrived and I was able to help him with some useful backup.

We booked La Dona Luz based on Trip Advisor reviews and were not disappointed! The location is ideal - across the street from the Plaze. Each room is unique and stuff full of interesting New Mexican goodies. We stayed in the Yellow Bird Deer room that had a super comfortable bed, a cute sitting room with a Kiva fireplace and a private patio. Paco, our host, was friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was cooked to order and served in a lovely room. This will be our new go-to place in Taos!

This old historic B&B set the tone for our visit to Taos. The building is quite old and is full of charm, while still providing comfortable, clean accommodations. The owner, Paco, takes good care of his guests without hovering. The staff are warm and friendly. We stayed in the Red Room, which is a two room suite, with private bath, and were very happy with our visit. The location is ideal, within the historic downtown of Taos, across from the Kit Carson house. Parking is a bit crowded but is provided for free. Breakfast is simple but good, with fresh fruit, waffles, delicious granola and cereals, toast and bagels.

I fell in love with this inn. It is very historic, with art, antiques and visually stunning native american rugs and artifacts everywhere you look.
Paco does an incredible job taking care of guests.
Wonderful local flavor breakfasts. Walkable to many restaurants and shops.
Very quiet but very close to the Plaza. Not touristy and has a very authentic feel to it.
Highly recommend this. Working kiva style fireplaces were wonderful as it snowed while we were there.

Room Tip: We stayed in the rainbow room which is very large and two level with the bedroom up a ladder-like st...
