Owner description: Los Rios River Runners is New Mexico's oldest, largest, and most experienced rafting company. We've been rafting through the spectacular river canyons of northern New Mexico since 1972. We offer trips from mild to wild, from half-day to 3-days, from the world-class white-knuckle whitewater of the Taos Box (available as a full-day adventure or as part of a multi-day overnight) to family fun adventures and serene floats. Spend starry nights in the serene Chama wilderness, or float along a mellow section of the Rio Grande with a Native Pueblo guide and a traditional feast meal awaiting you at the takeout. Sunset dinner floats too! And check out our multi-sport adventures: rock and raft, pedal and paddle, and paddle and saddle. Los Rios has more access to more stretches of river than any other NM rafting company, and offers the broadest variety of trips. Come boating with us, and take home lifetime memories.

“Full day lower gorge whitewater rafting - Taos”
Reviewed 9 August 2014

This trip was amazing. I took my 11-year-old son a few days ago and we had a blast. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. We always felt safe and had a great time. They even provided a tasty lunch in the middle of the excursion.

“Great rafting trip”
Reviewed 6 August 2014

We took the half day trip which was perfect for us. Our guide, John, was great. He was very knowledgeable about the river, local geology, local history, etc. He made the trip extra special. We would definitely recommend this group - and we hope to do another trip sometime with them!

“Great time. Great with children.”
Reviewed 27 July 2014

Party of 4. Wanted to do the race course, river conditions permitting with a child. Because of the child (my grandson) Suzie took us under her wing so to speak. Great trip. Exciting, challenging rapids, yet safe enough for the grandson thanks to Suzie. She is a pro and great with kids.

“lots of fun on the river”
Reviewed 21 July 2014

Very fun, cool and wet. A party of eleven of us had reservations for a rafting trip with Los Rios. The guides are great. They explain the geology of the river/gorge as we float down. We felt very safe on the rafts. A couple of us fell into the water, but they scooped us up right away. Only lost one hat. Near the end we were able to get out and float down the class one rapid. The sun was beating down on us so it was very refreshing. The rapids were not too wild, but wild enough for our group.

“Fun time and scenic ride”
Reviewed 10 July 2014

This is absolutely worth doing. Our guide Trenton was outstanding on the half day run. He was very experienced and a great teacher. One person almost popped out of the raft, and if they had I know he would have handled it and kept people safe. The ride. Itself is fun with some smooth parts and quick rapids. It is a scenic drive from Santa Fe and on the way to Taos. Just do it,
