Cross country skiing expedition and lunch "on the road" with friends. Fun in the snow! Met many friendly people passing, a lot of whom seemed to be locals, but still took time out to chat and ask if we were enjoying our vacation.

Open space, lot's of grass for children to run and tumble. Picnicking under ancient shade trees. Charcoal grills for barbecuing. Right off of the main road through town. Walk to shops and restaurants from your picnic table. Delightful..

This is a good place to sit in the shade and get away from the herds of tourists. I haven't been on the playground equipment or the in the dog park, but it's a nice place to go for some quiet.

You can bring the dog, the kids and a blanket and enjoy this 'bigger than it looks' park. We went right after 8inches of snow and had a blast... saw the gravestones and read the stories about a great explorer in Kit Carson... its a great way to burn off a few calories from the Taos Diner. Its very convenient to downtown and many of the other attractions... has a good sized outdoor stage for events too.

We visited the park to see what the Music Festival was about, but it was not very busy and was an OK venue. There are some neat shops around the park that are worth walking around and seeing.
