“Exploring Taos”

The Rio Grande Gorge Bridge is high above the Rio Grande river. From the bridge you get a nice view in both directions. There is beautiful color variation. I would recommend going when the sun is not high in the sky. I think it's nicer in late afternoon.

“Beautiful”

This view is spectacular. Would not want to miss if you are going to Taos! Worth the drive!!! If you are scared of heights might not want to go on bridge however you can park in the parking area and safely look from a stone seating area. But if heights are not a problem, must walk on bridge and look over railing! Spectacular!!!

Liked the view but there was limited water. Had some concern over young children running around area. Not much to say about it.

“Must visit if you are in Taos, N.Mexico”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 June 2014

A 15 minute easy drive from Taos. You see the rift in the earth from some distance, so the gorge is exciting to approach. I got a bit of vertigo walking back and forth across the suspension bridge, though a friend declared she enjoyed walking to the bottom. I'm not sure where she meant, as 1,000 feet of crumbling rock looked terrifying. The adjoining park has facilities, including vendors and a treats truck, colorfully painted, where we got chocolate shakes and I bought a charming little cross made of cactus. Boats were seen below, so that would be an additional fun thing to do in the area. And it's all beautiful in a wild and willy sort of way.

“Nice view”

We had taken a balloon ride and over and into the Rio Grande it was amazing and it end with a toast (we had orange juice), at the Bridge. Many people walked the Bridge, we drive across it. We took photos form the balloon ride.
