Very fresh ingredients. Upon arriving, we had second thoughts-so glad we stayed! Not crowded at all on Saturday night. Family owned and prepared. Everything tasted unique and fresh.

We made a wrong turn and missed the center of Taos - but ran across this non-descript looking place in a little strip mall south of town. What a find! Great salsas. I had fish tacos (not a fried filet, but small chunks of fish) and my wife had shrimp fajitas, which were great. Rice lacked much taste. I noticed some squash in a burrito and asked if I could just get some squash. They prepare zucchini with corn and carrots lightly grilled in butter. Nice addition if you want some veggies, but it's not on the menu. Very friendly staff. Not much atmosphere, but it's clean and the prices are way better than in the center of Taos.

After a fun day exploring Taos, we were too tired to venture far from our hotel, and found a wonderful dinner right on the main drag of Paseo Del Pueblo Sur (#1574). Specializing in seafood with a New Mexican flair, this little spot didn't disappoint. We had Filete Marmero: Fresh tilapia wrapped in foil and stuffed with scallops, shrimp, octopus and cheese. It came with beans and rice and fresh veggies. Unbelievable! Absolutely fresh and succulent. One of those "slow-down-and-savor-every drop" kind of treats you hope to stumble upon as you travel.

It is neither fancy nor expensive. In fact, it looks a bit like a Knights of Columbus hall, and dinner for two with two Tecante's ( salt-rimmed with lime) and a 20% tip was less than $50. It was one of the high points, meal wise, on our five day trip to Santa Fe and Taos.

The service, from one of the owners, was attentive and gracious. Overall, we were delighted.

We also enjoyed eavesdropping on the only other table that night, a local couple entertaining an out of town business couple. One of the locals at the table mentioned that he was the president of a local art guild. That kind of patronage speaks volumes.

This was the best food. The bacon wrapped shrimp were so good. The food was flavored perfectly. These folks know how to cook.

Thank you,

We have been in Taos twice but this last spring brake we found this place. Very clean ,(I hate to eat in a place that is filled with clutter on tables or walls), you can tell how clean the place is just by seeing the way the table is set and the condition of the restrooms, and they were both very clean !
I was really surprised about the way the food was prepared, I could taste the love they put on every thing they do , starting with the drinks , the sauce they serve with the chips before you order anything , the food itself .What sea food should taste .
I should add that we were soooo hungry after being snow boarding for hours and of course it took more time than Mc Donalds to have my meal served but it was well worth the wait.
Next time we are in Taos , we know were to go . Yummy !
