Description: Lambert's of Taos is a family-owned full service, upscale establishment serving Contemporary American cuisine with northern New Mexican influences in an elegant but relaxed setting. We are one of the few establishments in town that serves cocktails in addition to beer and wine. Upstairs we have the Treehouse Bar and Lounge for those not in the mood for linen tablecloths and looking for a cool, classy, and eclectic hangout with well-versed bartenders and inviting prices. During our Happy Hour (2:30 - 6:00), everything on our Happy Hour menu is $6.

Treated myself alone and it was the best. Had a special of scallops in risotto and it was fabulous. Great service and pricey, but not pretentious. Yum and treat yourself!

My wife and I lived in Taos for 2 years. Lambert's reminded us of the great supper clubs of Wisconsin. Great bartenders mixing your favorite cocktails, friendly service, and great grilled meats.

When you think about it, Lamberts doesn't have it easy - it's the only white tablecloth, better dining experience in Taos. The summer tourist season begins and ends, and ski season is uneven. So, the fact that Lamberts can deliver a superior dining and wine experience just adds to the credit they deserve.

Our meal began with a grilled radicchio and caesar salad - the grilled salad was very good and very generous. The caesar was just fine, though the portion was smaller. Entrees included venison chops and a filet.

The filet was excellent, accompanied by a potato bacon pie and asparagus. The venison was fresh, and the portion generous - there was a plum sauce that I liked very well and mashed potatioes. The chops were accompanied by a very tasty fresh corn relish. Both entrees were perfectly cooked.

We had a California cabernet for about $60 that was just fine with our meal.

The staff - from top to bottom - really care about your visit and it shows. Lamberts is not cheap, but we would visit again without hesitation.

Our group of eight was celebrating a birthday, and we each had different entrees, all excellent. Staff was very professional and attentive, and we very much enjoyed a leisurely dinner together.
