This was our third visit to Taos, NM and our most enjoyable. I love all the little shops & museums and the wonderful eating places. We especially loved Orlando's and visited it 3 times!

we enjoyed the small town of Taos and the shopping was fun. You have to watch the thing you purchase to make sure they are made there.
We tried the cherry lemonade from the stand in the center of town, it was wonderful.

Taos is a beautiful town. All the people we encountered were hardworking humble souls, who have to do a lot with a little. The scenery of course is out of this world, but the people impressed me even more. The plaza was hoppin the whole time we were there, and the food and music was very enjoyable. We visited several churches and the pueblo, don't miss out on them. We visited for the last week of June, and expected it to be hot (it was!) but not debilitating. Be sure to drink plenty of water the entire time you are there! Between the elevation and the heat, you don't want to drop over from heat sickness and miss all the beauty of Taos.

We came to Taos to see Taos Pueblo, but after traveling through the city there were numerous building of adobe structure which added character sending you on a journey into the past. We did some shopping at a small shopping center for souvenirs for the grandkids and talked to some of the locals who were very courteous and friendly, even pointing out other local attractions that were worth seeing. This is a place worth visiting and seeing the local attractions.
