As a history buff and a love for homes this was a great stop. You learn so much how individuals lived back in the early 1800's. We had the whole place to ourselves which gave us plenty of time to check each room out.

“Great Glimpse into History”
Reviewed 16 July 2014

The hacienda provides an excellent insight into the living environment of times past. Well preserved and authentic, without the Disneyland treatment.

“once you locate it . . .”
Reviewed 7 July 2014

kinda brings a realization of kind of life 'enjoyed' in the early days. It was a little tricky finding the place but the hunt was well worth the effort.

“Very informative.”
Reviewed 27 June 2014

The family had a huge home for themselves in the front and the "servants" in the back. Each room had plaques describing what it was and how it was used. There were many items of the time period. Pictures are allowed everywhere. A few more signs on where to park and the slaughter area would have been helpful.

“Wonderful!”

This 1804 hacienda really gives one an idea of what life was like during that time period in NM. I thought the buildings were authentically restored and well done.
