Description: An Eclectic Taste Of Mexico. Chef Antonio covers all the bases, deliciously. Everything on the menu is prepared fresh and made to order and the majority of the menu can be prepared gluten free. Because of the flavorful, full-bodied sauces, you will be pleasantly full at the end of your meal accompanied with a fun Margarita like a Jalapeno, Watermelon Margarita. Nothing else like Antonio's Restaurant in beautiful Taos, New Mexico.

Antonio's of Taos is the restaurant we can always be sure will never disappoint us. We have eaten here regularly for 12 years and always make sure our out of town guests get to enjoy the food experience with us. Antonio uses top quality organic, free range indredients and you can tell it when you eat the food.

This was our introduction to food in Taos, and it was exceptional--I had the special of the house, which was a chile relleno stuffed with ground beef, pear, cheese, raisins and seasoned in a way that made every bite delicious. The ambience was casual yet lovely. Wait staff and service were both very good. Would go back in a minute!

Went to Antonio's with my wife and 90 year old mom for dinner. Nice patio area coming in from the large parking lot. The food....really good. We all enjoyed our delicious meal in a southwestern style restaurant. Fabulous server! We'll be back.

My husband and I ate here a few weeks ago (also once last year) during our visit to Taos. This time I must write and report the fabulous meal we enjoyed. It started with the drink special: frozen sangria. I almost never order frozen drinks, but it was highly recommended by our server, WIll, and it was indeed delicious--each sip was densely packed with rich flavor. Then came Sopa Azteca; marvelous soup. We both had the same main dish: chile relleno en nogada; I can't do justice in words to the fabulousness of this dish!! We finished with profiteroles (also recommended by Will), and they were just wonderful; plus coffee--better than in most restaurants. A special shout out to Will, not only for his great recommendations but also for his gracious manner and his genuine enthusiasm for the items on the menu. Last time we ate outdoors, this time indoors. Each time it was our best meal in Taos. And the price wasn't bad: $63 for everything.

If you want outstanding Traditional Mexican or innovative touches to the meal in an attractive setting we recommend Antonio's. luckily nearby diners suggested we share dishes. After the usual complimentary tortilla chips with a tasty salsa, we shared a huge bowl of black bean soup served in an attractive boat bowl. It was a meal in itself. We had. A special dish of the night:fajitas with prime rib which had been braised in a jus of asorted mushrooms andf then seared and nished with sauteed onions, lime and spices
. we were hesitant to wrap the meat in the tortilla as it was so delicious! Shared we had enough left over to take home.
Dessert was shared too; a large platter with three lovely profiteroles filled with vanilla ice cram and draped in a cinnamon caramel sauce. Coffee.is blended for them and ground with pignola and Mexican chocolate.
The whole meal cost around $45.00 but if you order the more traditional fare, it would be much less . :-)
