Description: An Eclectic Taste Of Mexico. Chef Antonio covers all the bases, deliciously. Everything on the menu is prepared fresh and made to order and the majority of the menu can be prepared gluten free. Because of the flavorful, full-bodied sauces, you will be pleasantly full at the end of your meal accompanied with a fun Margarita like a Jalapeno, Watermelon Margarita. Nothing else like Antonio's Restaurant in beautiful Taos, New Mexico.

Our family of six had dinner here on our first evening in Taos and take away many special memories: dining outside on a beautiful patio, with a fountain in the center and a heavy cast iron table; an absolutely wonderful waiter, Leonard, who was knowledgeable, super-attentive and fun; terrific western music sung in the background by Jobuk Johnson; and delicious food. Guacamole was made to order at the table, so it can't get any fresher than that! Two of us had steak fajitas, which were hot and flavorful (we asked for extra tortillas). Other dishes were sopapilla rellena (a New Mexican dish that includes fried bread), enchiladas, enfrijoladas and quesadillas. All wonderful. Topped it off with three amazing desserts: lemon-infused crème brulee, pastel de tres leches (white cake with milky syrup), and flan almandine.

So glad we decided on this place. I had Chile Relleno en Nogada and it had to have been one of the best Mexican dishes I've ever had, a fantastic blend of flavors! My husband had Cochinita Pibil which was also very good, but not as outstanding as mine. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Antonio's!

Went here while visiting Taos area from Angel Fire. Read the tripadvisor reviews of restaurant's around the area, and chose this because of it's authentic taste. The chicken fajitas were very flavorful, sizzling and had a marinated rub that I couldn't quite place, but was super tasty. My dining partner had the Chicken Mole Enchiladas, which was the lunch special that day. He's quite a mole fan, and pronounced it wonderful. BTW, the menu for these enchiladas recite they make the mole sauce with real Mexican chocolate, which adds a whole different complex flavor than ones you may be used to. A little pricey for lunch and the service could use improvement.

My spouse and I dined there this evening. The food was authentic Mexican and was delicious. Service was pretty good too. We have no complaints, but be careful - the red chili sauce is really hot. You might consider the green sauce instead. I recommend this place.
