Newly updated guest rooms made for a comfortable stay. The Manager, Chad, was courteous and helpful. A choice of breakfast delivered to our room each morning was more than we expected. Though tucked away in a quiet neighborhood we were close enough to walk to the plaza.

What a beautiful, romantic, upscale and warm place combined with heritage architecture truly is, Palacio de Marquesa! The general manager, Chad provided us with excellent services, from delivering our daily delicious breakfast right at our room door to sharing his rich knowledge of the historic area Taos, NM. We stayed at the Diva room and it was gorgeous! Love the comfortable bed and the spacious bathroom with Italian mable floor. We will definitely come back to the same place again if we visit Taos, NM. We will highly recommend the heavenly place to all our family and friends worldwide.

Room Tip: There was no swimming pool on the property.

My husband and I visited the first week of May and were hesitant because of the renovations that had just been done. It seems that The Heritage Hotels group has acquired the property and has named it a hotel which seems to be a misnomer since it definitely has the feeling of a B&B. The entire place is lovely altho the garden areas could use a little upgrading. Perhaps that still to come. That is absolutely my only complaint. Public common areas are light and bright and inviting. Chad the manager greeted us at the door and showed us around to see all that was offered.

Our room was the Matriarch Suite formerly the Library Suite. It was spacious with a large entry room which had a kiva, sitting area with comfy leather chairs, TV, dining space and was filled with books. Included were travel books to help in finding local attractions. The bedroom had the largest king sized bed I've ever seen. In fact I had to jump up to get into it. Not designed for short people. Lovely room with a door that leads out to a walled in private patio for absolute quiet. The bathroom has been totally overhauled with Marble on the walls and floors. Nothing was lacking and the heated floors were delightful. We had a fresh breakfast to start the day and then we were off.

We had never been to Taos before and Chad was a big help in directing us to things we shouldn't miss. We visited the plaza, Rio Grande Gorge Bridge, the Millicent Rogers Museum, the Taos Pueblo and the Taos Ski Valley among others. Certainly there is lots more to see but we'll have to come back again next year.

Room Tip: I didn't see the other rooms but if ours was any indication of what is typical then I would thin...

Dear NanSMichigan,

Thank you so much for taking time to review your stay - and first trip to Taos. Chad has a great knowledge of the area and I'm glad he could help you experience so many of the sights and attractions that make Taos such a unique community and such a wonderful place to visit.

Thank you also for thinking of Palacio de Marquesa as a "little piece of heaven." We want our guests to feel perfectly comfortable in our newly-renovated rooms, and I'm glad we hit the mark for you.

We look forward to seeing you again, and when our gardens are in full-bloom!

Yours,
Susan C.

A ridiculously charming little bit of extravagance. Excellent for a romantic getaway with a loved one. The rooms are gorgeous and recently renovated. You can tell they really pushed the details, as everything as a bit of a new sheen, especially the giant tub in the library suite.
Service from the innkeeper Chad is top-notch. Anything you need, He's got you covered. Right down to delivering a delicious breakfast right to your door.
The hotel is a short walk from the plaza, but this is the only time I've visited Taos and wanted to spend more time in the room.

At first glance the property is inviting. After being greeted by staff the feeling is enhanced. The room that my girlfriend and I stayed in was clean and in keeping with the theme of the South-West. It is however, noticeable that this property was once a bit grander than it is now, but it is still very much a warm and charming place. I was told that it is in the process of being "rejuvenated". If so...wow. If not, I'd still return.

My husband and I travel to Taos almost every year, there's something magical about Taos and this property was no different. This was our first time staying at The Palacio De Marquesa - We had a fantastic experience! Upon arriving at the property, we met Chad, the property manager. He was courteous, kind and professional and we immediately felt at home. The property is absolutely gorgeous! We stayed in the Rio Grande room, this spacious and gorgeous room is extremely comfortable. Loved the fireplace and the heated floors. The seating area is a nice touch and we loved the roomy bathroom. The breakfast was also very good. We can't wait to go back and visit after the renovations! Thank you, Chad for making this vacation a memorable one. We are looking forward to staying at other Heritage Hotels properties.
