“Taos Timepiece”
Reviewed 14 August 2014

El Palacio de Marquesa was an excellent foundation to a wonderful trip in Taos. The recently remodeled inn situated off the main road in Taos is nestled within a small wooded area, an instantly distinctive with a rich adobe architecture. There is plenty of open parking. Chad, the general manager, is incredibly inviting, and always has a helpful suggestion on what to see, taste, hear, and try. The food is excellent, and can be taken in the room or in the lovely dining room adjacent to the rooms. The aura is airy, and well situated to Taos's mild climate. The rooms are arranged by artistry, ranging from 'The Illuminator' to the largest room 'The Matriarch'. Each contains all the amenities of a luxury hotel, and larger rooms, such as 'The Matriarch' contain a bath and a separate vertical shower. The rooms are kept very clean, and room service is prompt and helpful. The reservations can be made online very easily, and Chad is more than happy to accommodate your requests in any fashion needed. I hope to visit the Palacio de Marquesa again, and highly recommend the pleasure of the stay again.

Room Tip: The Illuminator is the cheapest, with The Modernist, and offers plenty for a couple's getaway

If your looking for a real New Mexican experience this is the place, beautify placed in the back off the main road, a quite and cozy atmosphere to get you relaxed and the rooms remodeled with more then enough detail. Great walk in shower and beautiful furniture.
Me and my husband got our breakfast served to our door and the turkey green chili sausage was the best, eating in a privet outdoor area was what my morning needed. The staff was very kind to us and made us feel at home! It was one of quietest and most relaxing times that I have had in quiet a while!

Room Tip: Each room is different and has its own personality! Not a very big facility but very quiet and calm...

My wife stumbled across this hotel. The manager was very welcoming and attentive. The room was perfect in every way! We will definitely stay again the next time we visit Taos.

More is planned for the future with continued updates and expansion plans.

This is a property what dreams are made of. You are greeted by the General Manager Chad Ozment, who is the perfect host, throughout your stay. He is everywhere & any where you want him to be. The property is amazingly detailed, inside and out. The grounds are well appointed with wild flowers from the Northern New Mexico area. Believe me this property does not lack detail in any area, right down to the Frette linens & towels. The Italian marble bathrooms are ultra luxurious. We stayed in the "Matriarch Suite". A perfect blend of contemporary & old Taos style. The gourmet breakfast, which is made to order, is served either in the dining room, of the main house, or even better yet in your room. The breakfast is delivered in picnic hamper baskets. You can enjoy it out on a terrace or in your room. Located in a beautiful Taos neighborhood. Just a few blocks from the plaza. A perfect romantic get away. In a very special New Mexican town!!!

Room Tip: All rooms are excellent!!!

Tucked just a block off the main street, this quiet 8-room inn was such a nice surprise. The inn has recently been completely rennovated so everything is brand new. We stayed in the Illuminator. Kind of old Santa Fe meets minimalist elegance. Delicious breakfast delivered in a basket to our room exactly at the time of our choice. We could have dined in our room or outside overlooking the shared courtyard. Treat yourself to a stay at this wonderful inn when in Taos.

Upon arriving at the Inn, we knew we were in a for a treat. The courtyard was surrounded by giant cottonwood trees that shaded the entire area giving it a private, nestled in feeling. The room was beautifully appointed with a private sitting area in a gardenlike setting. The breakfast was delivered personally by Chad who made sure everything was to our liking. As this trip was a surprise birthday gift Chad helped make it special by arranging for the most decadent truffles to await us in the room, what a treat! This romantic, boutique Inn is a must stay while visiting historic Taos.

Room Tip: All rooms have a theme, you will be delighted with any of them.
