“Hot Spring Oasis”

This is my favorite place to come stay when I decide to run away from Rio Rancho. I. Have tried many of the different rooms and love the large tubs. Richard and his son are awesome hosts and you get a free yummy breakfast from Happy Bellly Deli.

Just what I wanted in a hot springs hotel in New Mexico - funky, colorful, and no limits on soaking. We stayed in the Agave room - across the street from the main facility, it is a more spacious room, recently remodeled. The in-room tub was large enough for two and filled with just-the-right temperature water easily. Very nicely decorated. Fire Water is in the heart of T or C, an easy walk to just about everything. So quiet, too!
Only downsides - WiFi doesn't reach the 'annex' and the heater is very noisy.

Returning to Firewater Lodge once more proved worth taking the long way home - another WOW experience. This time in the Palms room, with a hot soaking tub so spacious I could float on my back. I think they named this room for palm TREES, but I will remember it for the tub so wide that my elbows did not touch the sides in free float ... yet I could use my palms to move my suspended body forward/backward in the delicious hot water. Quite a treat.

Room Tip: Get a room with in-room soaking tub. Amazing how good a spontaneous soak at 3:00 a.m. feels.

The hot spring baths in each room were awesome, but the beds are TERRIBLE. I slept one night on the love seat in the other room. We killed a 3 inch roach on the first night. Heating the room is with stand alone electric heaters and air comes in around doors & windows freely.

My opinion is if you're going to a place that you expect to be spa like, then at a minimum the beds should be heavenly & the spa part relaxing. Only part of that equation was successful.

This was a quaint little place to stay. We only had a few days, so having the "in room" tub let us double up on our mineral baths. Clean, comfortable room. We were able to pay a one time pet fee and bring our Doxie along. Recieved a coupon for free breakfast bagels for 2 at the Happy Beli Deli, we choose breakfast burritos instead and were able to to apply our coupon towards purchase of these which were awsome! Will definately stay here again!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Datura Room, was great. Make sure to get room with "in room" tub.

This review could best be described as an art critique. If you are looking for chic elegance and luxury, this is not the place for you. But, if you are someone who appreciates the fountain of creativity that bubbles up around hot springs in the desert - read on...

Truth or Consequences is place of interest along highway 25. There is a wealth of history and a number of talented artists have been attracted to this little old mining town. With Elephant Butte reservoir nearby, the town attracts a fair amount of tourism, and there are several interesting galleries and shops along the historic main street.

This is truly a gem in the desert. The owners have been operating and restoring this facility for the last 20 years. The rooms are situated around a lovely courtyard. Each room has its own unique charm with lovely artistic touches. The owners also operate the Happy Belly Deli next door, where you can get a bagel and egg breakfast complimentary with the room in the morning.

We stayed in the Waterfall Room. With all of the lovely tile work and beautiful painting, the room is a work of art. This room also has a large soaking tub in the room where the warm mineral water spills over in a waterfall into the tub at the most deliciously perfect temperature. The tub is big enough for two. The bed, while not a pillow-top luxury mattress, was clean and comfortable enough. This lovely little corner room is great for a romantic getaway - we plan to return for our next anniversary!

Room Tip: Each room has its own unique charm. We loved the waterfall room with a soaking tub in the room! Ch...

Love the location of the rooms and large tubs for mineral baths.

Would like to see nice higher end pillow top mattresses and linens though. Bedding in any motel or hotel is HUGE with me. The beds and mattresses were OK to adequate but definitely.....NOT EXCELLENT, there is a difference.

This place is very cozy and convenient to all T or C has to offer. Price was fair and reasonable for pe the level of a,enities offerd. I would definitely stay here again.
