Wonderful staff and good location. Pet friendly, clean, quiet and excellent management. Have stayed there many times over the years and same great experience each time.

Room Tip: Just ask when making reservation. Two stories and entryways at each end on first floor. No pool or e...

The location is easy to be found; the staff is nice. However; there are no shampoo available! Besides, the sink does not drain well... Yet, air conditioner is working well; it is cheaper when compared to other two star hotel; i would say not bad for a stay.

The will wecome you and make you feel at home, if your home is rather old, a little musty and in need of repairs. Was a bit alarmed at the open wiring in the swag lamp in the room. We were told the guest dryer didn't work.

Room was clean and adequate for the price paid. However at 2:30 a.m. we had to endure multiple door banging just outside our room as one of the hotel guests was leaving. After many attempts to go back to sleep I got up and logged on to the internet until breakfast time. The back door to this motel is in disrepair and does not shut properly. With the 25-30mph winds in that area it presents a real problem. This door has been broken for a while as evidenced by the worn duct tape attempt to muffle the door banging. The morning staff was very apologetic but it was not anything she could do or fix.
On the plus side they did have a good breakfast.

Room Tip: Upper floor rooms will most likely be quieter.

First for this property I have to say, they take pets which is hard to find for some reason and I see no relief in this situation so I must reward this property for friendly staff at 1am and the do have a decent breakfast. The property is one we stayed in 17 years ago, the dooors are the old type were you ender from the parking lot and it is just run down. It was clean however and did not smell. there was a small charge for pet, which was just fine with us and plenty of grass to walk dog on. What I wonder is why we HAD to stay here?
We travel quite a bit, always have. We often travel with teens and adult children. Non of us smoke or have ever smoked. What I am amazed at , is hotels have smoking rooms and no dog rooms. I say this meaning that It should be easy for nice properties to have a solution that benifits them and us. To check ithey could require a current shot record which is the same for all states that you have current rabies shots. Depending on hotel , size of dog should matter however most older people that travel with pets have dogs under 20 pounds so that could be a requirement.. It is not more dangerous for people with health conditions to sleep in a room where a dog stayed / smoking room, however it is dangerous for all to sleep in a smoking room. Companies are requiring their employee's stay in non-smoking on their dime when traveling for work. Why healthier employee's not allowed to smoke on company time or pay. Back to the dog however, as we head to record breaking heat dogs canot be left in cars, but why not carried in in pet carriers ? What is so difficult about providing a small patch of grass outside in a fenced area as service stations and rest areas do across the nation ? Big Non-profit groups say they care about pets but where is their voice for better care and tracking as well as providing shelter for tourists carring pets. Pets arn't allowed in Malls and their is no alternitive place to leave a dog when traveling.
Everyone wants solutions to get people spending so someone needs to look at the number of people with pets and what they spend annually. Pets can't go walk in most malls, I don't mean food courts, I mean areas where walkers walk.
Pet owners can't get into anything other than outdated unsafe hotels and the money spent on pets yearly is enough to make you speechless. So why no effort on buisness to make pet friendly areas ?You also are told you can't rent a car with a pet, no size specified all baned. I would rather stay in a room that once had a dog then two smokers and small children.Dander won't kill me only makes eyes itch, smoke can cause a major life altering event for people with breathing issues. Please pass this question on ...

Room Tip: We saw a pool but it was winter so I would ask about it before I checked in if this is important

Nice helpful front desk staff, but they spend a lot of time apologizing for the facility. Our room was "sorta" clean, but mostly tired and run-down. We were given a space heater because the heater in the room "shuts down after a while." We did move to another room that was marginally better and cleaner.

Bathroom tile was dirty, tub just barely clean. I personally went underneath the bath sink to connect the stopper that wasn't working.

Tucumcari has something like 2,000 hotel rooms. I'd pick another if you want anything other than a quick night's sleep at low cost.

The room rate was cheap, they had ample parking for large vehicles, and the room was acceptable. The bathroom was pretty nasty, though, with gaps in the trim where you could see spiderwebs and the like through them. The continental breakfast left a lot to be desired. Warm OJ (YUCK!), no bread left by 8am, apples were the only fruit available and they were all dried out and nasty (made me wonder whether they were intended as a garnish or to eat?!) - really not worth the time it took to walk up to the lobby to see what they had.

The one positive here was the shower. This was a SHOWER. If you weren't ready for it, that sucker would pin you to the far wall of the shower stall. If you aren't awake after that shower, you're dead! A nice way to start the day, even if the rest of the place left you thinking "meh."

All in all, if you're looking for something cheap and available, this might be right for you (we did a walk-up late at night and they had plenty of rooms). They do accept pets, which was what we needed, but if I'd had time to do my homework I would have chosen to stay elsewhere. This has nothing much to recommend it, in my opinion.
