We really enjoyed our dinner with a fantastic selection of traditional South African cuisine. Very friendly owner-staff and also a nice selection of art and confectionary on sale

“Great night out”
Reviewed 22 September 2013

When checking trip advisor we saw that Fibs was one of the more popular restuarants. My wife and I were pleased with the service and the food. The menu was limited but the items we ordered were superb.

“Good, tasty home cooking at a reasonable price”
Reviewed 8 September 2013 via mobile

A great place for lunch. A varied menu of tasty comfort food. Accompanied by home made preserves. I would eat here again.

“Good Food, Great Atmosphere”
Reviewed 7 June 2013

Fantastic food and a selection of home made goodies at this family-owned restaurant. There are also a number of paintings from local artists hanging on the wall- all for sale. The prices are a bit high, but the food is great. A few more, less heavy pescatarian options would go a long way, but this doesn't seem to be the Dullstroom way. Especially not in winter. Would definitely go back.

“Great home-cook dining in Dullstroom”
Reviewed 13 May 2013

Fibs is a family owned and run restaurant. They have just moved to new premisses - looks like a strangely converted house but perhaps the new one makes it more accessible from the main street in Dullstroom.

Fibs has a very interesting and appealing menu covering many traditional home-cook dishes, although main stream dishes are also available. The food was delicious and the Merry family certainly know what they are doing!

The Missus had ox tongue with a creamy mustard sauce (very tender - she loved it) and I had the slow-cooked pork neck with sauce, which was a little on the dry side but still very tasty. Served with tender veggies and potato wedges.

Atmosphere is country style and with a fire-place in the lounge.

Comes well recommended!
