Our first attempt at quad biking and we are hooked. Corne was the perfect guide and took us on a trail through the fynbos to the top of a mountain with the most amazing views across Franskraal and the coast stretching into the distance. I initially found the steeper sections of the trail a bit nerve-racking, but my 14-year old daughter loved every minute of it and by the end of the trip I also started feeling like a seasoned rider. Corne took a lot of photos during the outing and transferred them to my camera card at the end of the visit, so I didn't even have to take my own camera. We will be back to bring the rest of the family on this trail.

Was In gansbaai for 4 days with 2 days diving booked so fancied a change. Saw the quad bikes advert and thought lets give that a try, so glad I did. It was so much fun and the views were breathe taking. After 2 hours of giggling I booked a further 4 hours the day after which I feel speaks for its self. Very friendly and patient so doesn't matter if you,ve never done it before, just glad I wasn't there for 5 days as would of struggled to choose between this and the sharks. Fantastic!mwill definitely do it again.

After two days of lazy beach combing at Franskraal (a five minute drive from "Shark City" Gansbaai) we decided that a change of scenery was called for, so we we headed inland to the beautiful Uilenkraal valley (on the road to Elim), where we found Quad Explore's valley hideout.

Upon arriving at Quad Explore's lawned and shaded farmstead we were welcomed by a gaggle of geese (with goslings in tow), a honking donkey named Jacob ( the country folk sure know how to give the city folks a good welcome in this part of the world!) and our friendly hosts Dirk and Corne.

And what an experience it was - a 2 hour nature trail adventure on 4-wheeled yellow "ponies" through the brightly flowering fynbos, a dense forest with winding switchback trails and a steep mountain ascent led led to the pinnacle of the trip - a spectacular mountain vista overlooking the entire Walker Bay (whale coastline) Views forever!!
We could see Dyer Island (home to the Great Whites) and in the distance, Danger Point (where the Birkenhead sank.)
At what seemed to be eye-level, two circling Black Eagles topped off this amazing panorama - a change of scenery indeed! This mountain top vista is the highlight of the trip so don't miss it..

Owner / Guides Dirk and Corne were professional, helpful, patient and vigilant throughout the 2 hour trip which is billed as "challenging" (one very steep decline does test the mettle!)

Overall a fun, challenging adventure that can be enjoyed by the whole family.
Not to be missed if you like nature with some excitement thrown in for good measure!

P.S. Taste the crystal clear water from the farm spring - it is the nicest, freshest, sweetest water you have ever tasted. Corne - you have to bottle this stuff!
